Hawaii Fi-Do Service Dog programs and services.

The dedicated mission of Hawaii Fi-Do is to train assistance dogs to provide physical, psychological and therapeutic support for people who face the daily challenges of life with a disability other than blindness. Hawaii Fi-Do Service Dogs (a 501c (3) non-profit corporation) is the only certified training center on the island of Oahu.



Susan Luehrs, Executive Director of Hawaii Fi-Do is one of only two certified service dog trainers in the state of Hawaii

She offers the only program in Hawaii
for children with disabilities. Hawaii Fido is dedicated to providing quality trained assistance dogs to the disabled community of Hawaii.

Hawaii Fi-Do offers educational opportunity
to the business community on public access and the rights of service dog teams.

Hawaii Fido's  S.T.A.R
Student Teaching Animal Responsibility,
takes student volunteers to the local schools to teach awareness and to educate the public about the roles and rights of service dogs. Our "Read to Willie Program" is the first and only reading program in Hawaii where reluctant young readers are motivated to read to certified therapy dogs.
