Oklahoma quarterback Landry Jones on Thursday was announced as the AT&T All-America Player of the Week.

In the only major college football award chosen exclusively by fans, Jones won the national vote after setting a school record with six touchdown passes. He completed 25-of-37 throws for 336 yards last week in a 45-0 victory over Tulsa.

Jones outpaced three other ESPN nominees: Cal running back Jahvid Best, Washington linebacker Donald Butler and Syracuse receiver Mike Williams.

After ESPN announces the nominees, fans can register to vote by text messaging VOTE to 345345 on their wireless phones until 11 p.m. each Wednesday. The winner is announced during halftime of ESPN's prime time Thursday night telecast.
