Considerable worldwide travel required.

THE CLIENT

Our client is a very well established and successful producer and distributor of sports-related content. While the company maintains ties with a number of important sports organisations, the primary source of its content is direct production and its own archives - so there is no dependence on [expensive] live rights.

The company recognises that London is soon to be the Sports capital of the world, and has therefore taken the strategic decision to now appoint a London-based CEO.

THE ROLE

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive of the owning Group (located outside Europe), the successful candidate will be responsible for the company’s global operations which include production facilities and personnel around the world.

The objectives of the role are to increase revenues and profitability by:

*Growing ties with international sporting bodies

Encouraging innovation in programme-making

Building the client base, and increasing revenues per client

*Identifying new platforms & markets where existing content can be exploited

*Controlling operating costs.

The role will enjoy considerable autonomy & responsibility and therefore requires an individual with a notably successful track record in the international TV Content business, at Senior Executive level.

THE CANDIDATE

Your background should ideally be in the sports world, or you should have a strong interest in sports at the very least. People-management skills are, of course, essential.

Also mandatory are the following personal qualities:

• Commercial sense

• Entrepreneurial mindset

• Ability to impress, at a high level

• Willingness to undertake frequent international travel.

An attractive and competitive remuneration package will be available for the right person. The package will consist of a substantial basic salary, plus incentives to reward short and long-term success.
