The Club are pleased to announce a pre-season friendly with Spanish top flight outfit Real Valladolid.

The match takes place at the Britannia Stadium on Friday 7th August with a kick off time of 7.00pm.

Pucela, as Valladolid are nicknamed, are currently 14th in La Liga going into Sunday's final game of the season at Real Betis.

In November, they beat Real Madrid 1-0 at home before defeating Valencia in their own back yard by two goals to one in March.

They've also done the double over Atletico Madrid in their second season back in the top flight, following their second-tier title success of 2006/07.

Former Real Madrid star Borja occupies a midfield birth for the side while Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez is also a former boss of the club.

Meanwhile, German outfits FC St Pauli and TSG 1899 Hoffenheim have been pencilled in as opposition during the week-long training camp in Austria.

Friday 17th July would see the Potters take on second division St Pauli while Bundesliga surprise package Hoffenheim would be the opponents on Tuesday 21st July. Both games would start at 6.30pm local time.

Elsewhere, City's game at Newcastle Town will now kick off at 2.30pm while the game against Derby County will now start at 1.00pm.
