35. Francis Coquelin

Go

Francis joined Arsenal from hometown club Laval last summer and enjoyed a productive first season at the Club catching the eye in Arsenal’s triumphant FA Youth Cup campaign and Neil Banfield’s second-string.

Most comfortable as a defensive midfielder, the young Frenchman can also operate at right-back. His tigerish, industrious qualities in the centre of the park allow his more forward-thinking teammates greater license to roam while his competence in the tackling department provides the back-four with superb protection.

Francis made his first-team debut in the Carling Cup victory over Sheffield United in September coming on as a 69th-minute substitute for Fran Merida.
