Robert Snodgrass attacks Liverpool

Robert Snodgrass has been named the PFA Fans' Player of the Month in League One.

The 22-year-old, who is named in the Scotland squad for the next weekend's trip to Japan, pipped United team-mate Jermaine Beckford to the award for August and September.

Snoddy has featured in all of United's 13 games this season and has scored three goals, including a 92nd minute winner at MK Dons last weekend.

His form has caught the eye of Scotland boss George Burley who has named in the senior squad for the first time.

United manager Simon Grayson is also back in the running for the September Manager of the Month award.

Simon was edged out for the August award by Charlton manager Phil Parkinson, but his unbeaten league record for September includes three league wins and two draws.

Other League One nominations include Bristol Rovers boss Paul Trollope, Oldham manager Dave Penney, and new Colchester chief Adie Boothroyd.
