The People's Club

Everton For Equality

In recent years Everton Football Club - together with the football world - has faced up to the challenge of tackling racism and discrimination.  The successes of this work are now evident across the country.

Everton is proud to have been recognized for its work by achieving both the preliminary and intermediate levels of the Racial Equality Standard for professional football clubs awarded by Kick It Out.

The Club was also one of the first to be entered into a Hall of Fame by Show Racism the Red Card.

We continue to actively support both of these national football campaigns and our stance remains that racial abuse directed towards any player or supporter will not be tolerated.

Everton also recognises that the drive to overcome exclusion cannot be tackled in isolation. By embracing all areas of diversity and demonstrating the same commitment to the issues of religion, disability, gender, age and sexual orientation, the Club aims to be be truly accessible to all supporters and one that also reflects our diverse local communities.

We are dedicated more than ever to take on new challenges. We are proud to be one of the first Premier League Clubs to be working towards the ‘advanced level' of the Equality Standard for professional football clubs awarded by Kick It Out. Our aim is to be seen as a Club that has equality of opportunity, inclusion and fair treatment at its heart.

Stand Up Against It.

The vast majority of our fans are well behaved but occasionally a small minority spoil the experience for other supporters. We re-iterate that there is no place for racism, homophobia, abusive language or any other type of offensive behaviour at Goodison Park. Any person responsible for such behaviour risks being banned from the stadium.

If you observe any intimidating or threatening activity taking place, please do not ignore it. Contact your nearest steward or police officer and bring it to their attention. Alternatively you can anonymously text HELP followed by the stand, row and seat of the offender and then the nature of the problem to 82085.

We urge all our supporters to embrace the above ideals, to make a stand and help create a more enjoyable match-day experience.
