THE deputy headmaster of an elite Brisbane boys' school has been stood down following what the school says are "serious allegations".
Chris Klemm, the deputy headmaster at the Churchie Preparatory School in East Brisbane, was stood down last Thursday pending further investigations.
Churchie principal Jonathan Hensman issued a letter this week to parents at the school informing them of the allegations.
``On October 1 2009, the School determined to stand Mr Klemm aside pending further investigations,'' he wrote in the letter.
``The school is committed to addressing all allegations in an appropriate, confidential and sensitive manner.
``You will be provided with further developments in this matter when it is available.''
The school was informed of the allegations against Mr Klemm during the term 3 school holiday period.
