Mumbai: Titled 'A Tempestuous Affaire', Manav Gangwani's show will have silhouettes ranging from well draped anarkalis, to structured, yet innovative chudidar kurtas. "I also have a lot of statement blouses, which will be paired with unusual and sexy saris. As for the men, there will be the classic sherwanis," says Manav who not surprisingly, has used some interesting fabrics -- velvets, satins, delicate nets, georgettes and antique laces along with glistening lame and brocades -- while keeping to a colour palate that boasts of black, gold and emerald tones.

"I feel that fashion is all about sensuality and how a woman feels on the inside," he says. Scheduled to begin at 7:30 pm, Zayed Khan and Shruti Hassan will be walking for Manav this evening.

Suneet Varma presents a collection called 'La Belle Epoque' (the beautiful era) from French Fashion history, marking the years 1890 to 1914. Of recreating this period, he says, "It was an époque of beautiful clothes and the peak of luxury living."

The collection captures the languid and leisurely life of those years. Rich dark velvets in jewel tones like teal, maroon, emerald and black are created in tone on tone appliqué embroidery with a hint of copper. Braided belts and embroidered stockings are worn with empire line dresses and long slender tunics with sheer sleeves with cutwork embroidery will be complemented by generous skirts. Suneet's show is scheduled to begin at 9 pm.
