"NEVE CAMPBELL in SCREAM 4" (and she gets knocked-off in the first 10 minutes; the remaining 90 minutes are occupied with a bunch of unknown actors [what a scream]. Its excellent to hear something from the Winesteins today. Maybe Kevin Williamson may return, too? Try to get Kevin Williamson back; In watching BACK TO THE FUTURE behind the scenes stuff this weekend; I would have been begging Crispin Glover to return instead of giving him a stalwart ultimatum when his demands weren't met. Anyone could tell Crispin Glover wasn't making a good decision in not returning to BACK TO THE FUTURE; sometimes you have to "Cave-in" (negotiate a little) in order to ultimately make a good movie. Everyone needs to look at their film in terms of how history will look at the film; 20 YEARS LATER its clear Crispin Glover needed to be in BACK TO THE FUTURE PART II and should have been coarsen to come back. KEVEN WILLIAMSON: SCREAM 4. unless he's dead or something. (Reply to this) |
BrianMN writes: on Oct 19 2009 05:59 AM Hmmmmmmm....... Maybe they'll bring back Campbell just to knock her off in the first ten minutes. I hope they do a better job than they did with Jamie Lee in Halloween Resurrection. Anyway, kinda psyched but not really. I still think the Scream series should have ended after 3 but oh well. Here we go again, till they decided to remake the original three, then a few years later remake the remakes. :( (Reply to this) |
Gimy writes: on Oct 19 2009 07:55 AM i didn't expect anything less. god, i'm responding to sir blabs alot but...gfts, i think it was good Glover didn't return to Future 2. it would have been set in the 60's or 70's and i liked the fact that they went back...to the 50's instead on the rewrite. it seemed to flow so much better. by the way, why beg a SUPPORTING actor to return? from what i heard, he was asking for ridiculous things and a ridiculous amount of money. judging by his music videos(which are hilarious)...its not surprising. the future is in the past...the movies are still classics. Glover made the mistake, not the other way around (Reply to this) |
Shatter24 writes: on Oct 19 2009 07:56 AM A ten year break might work here, where are the characters now (after such a long break)? Scream and Scream 2 were vastly superior to Scream 3 and ultimately it was because of the writing. The great, humorous dialogue from 1 and 2 was mostly missing from 3. The scares were still there but the pop-culture infused remarks were missing. I also hope Williamson has a hand in the 4th film, at least doing a Paul Haggis style rewrite/touch-up. (Reply to this) |
Barry G. writes: on Oct 19 2009 10:19 AM It's been widely known for months that Kevin Williamson is writing Scream 4, but the idea of it starting a new trilogy. Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and David Arquette are all returning. In regards to Neve being the opening victim, I don't think so. Neve originally turned Scream 4 down. Kevin Williamson reported that he was very bummed and said that Sidney's part in the new script was "no cameo" and that he "wouldn't do that." While it may of been great for dramatic impact, it appears Kevin had no intention of doing that. Not long after, Neve finally agreed to sign on. (Reply to this) |
Mann is the Man writes: on Oct 19 2009 10:44 AM Nobody on this board has heard any of the recent news (or actually read the article): Neve Campbell is back, as well as Courtney Cox and David Arquette. And yes, Kevin Williamson is back to write the fourth film which he said will be completed by November. (Reply to this) |

Chris C. writes: on Oct 19 2009 01:49 PM The first Scary Movie was awesome. Special Officer Doofy stole the show. I thought all of the Screams were dumb. My wife likes them. (Reply to this) |
King Kubrick writes: on Oct 19 2009 03:10 PM In reply to this comment (#2554333) Good I thought I was the only one for whom the scary movie franchise ruined scream a little bit. Every time I see Arquette I think of Doofy and almost piss myself. It seems like so long ago the Wayans actually had promise. "I told you not to disturb me when I'm cleaning my room!" (walks out of room with erection and vacuum cleaner in tow). Now that's entertainment! (Reply to this) |
