Fronted by former Alastor member Elizabeth Elkins, whose voice has been compared to Patti Smith and Chrissie Hynde, Atlanta, GA, band the Swear draw from a number of influences, including Hole, Garbage, the Smashing Pumpkins, and Fugazi. The group, comprised of Elkins (vocals, guitar), Jeremy Zamora (guitar), Kevin Williams (bass), and Jerod Snider (drums), made its recording debut in 2005 with Every Trick's a Good One, which was produced by Russ-T Cobb and mastered by Howie Weinberg. Two years later, the group returned to the studio with Matt Goldman to begin work on its follow-up album. Hotel Rooms and Heart Attacks was released in 2008. ~ Katherine Fulton, All Music Guide
