Rustam-e-Zaman 1967.

Wrestler Bholu Pahalwan a.k.a Manzoor Hussain was officially crowned Rustam-e-Zaman (World Champion) in a special Ceremony held in Karachi, Pakistan by the All Pakistan Wrestling Association presided by the Pakistani Home Minister, Mr. Kazi Fazlullah.

Prior to the abovementioned phase, soon after the death of Gama Pahalwan on 23rd may 1960, the Pakistan Wrestling Association decided to nominate the new Rustam-e-Zaman, The Pakistani World Champion.  On 31st  March 1964, the Pakistan Wrestling Association awarded Bholu, the title of Rustam-e-Zaman imposing condition that he must wrestle abroad and win a world championship title like the Great Gama to maintain his position  as the Pakistani World Champion .

 As a result of that In May 1967, he competed in a world championship event sponsored by a Bradford, Yorkshire based company known as Eastern Promotions Limited in UK. Bholu Pahalwan  defeated the Anglo French heavyweight Champion, Henry Perry on 29th May 1967  for the World Heavyweight Title at the Empire pool, Wembley Stadium in London, England in the presence of the then Pakistani High Commissioner in UK, Mr. S.K Dehlavi. The above mentioned ceremony was held through courtesy of Habib Bank Limited in confirmation of his status as Rustam-e-Zaman.
