GENEOLOGY OF THE MALACCA SULTANATE
Raja Suran Al-Bahari, they had issue three children, married to Puteri Mahtabul Bahri, daughter of King Aftabul 'Ard from the KIngdom of Basram (under sea). Had the following decendents :-

1)  
Nila Utama (Sang Sapurba) married to Wan Empuk and Ratu Chnadra Puri.


2)  
Nila Pahlawan, married to Wan Sendari, legendary ancestor of the Rajas of Minangkabalu in
      Sumatera (Indonesia).


3)   Krishna Pendita married to Wan Malini, ancestor of the Rajas of Tanjungpura.

1160 - 1208 :  Wan Empok
and Ratu Chandra Puri, Raja of Temasik (old Singapore), married to
                     
Nila Utama (Sang Sapurba), and had issue ;

1360 - 1376 :  Sri Maharaja Nila Utama, (Raja Parameswara of Temasik) married to Raja
                     
Parameswari. He died ca. 1376, having had issue :

Raja Kecil Besar Paduka Sri Pekerma Di Raja, who succeeded as Paduka Seri
                           
Vikramavira, Raja of Temasik.
                      2)  
Raja Kecil Muda Tun Perpatih Permuka Vijaya, Bendahara. He had issue ;
                            a)  Tun Perpatih Tulus.

1376 - 1377 :  A ruler appointed by the Emperor of China to rule over Temasik (old Singapore). In the
                      year 1366, the city was burned down and its inhabitants put to the sword by a
                      Palembang invasion.

1377 - 1400 :  Paduka Sri Maharaja Vikramavira, Raja of Temasik. Styled Raja Kecil Besar before
                      his ancession,
married at Temasik, to Puteri Nila Panchadi, daughter of the Kalinga
                      Prince Jamburga Rama Mudaliar
, son of Adi Wiranama Raja Mudaliar of the line
                      Raja Suran of Bija Negara. He had issue ;
                      1)  
Raja Sri Wira Karma, Raja of Temasik. Styled Raja Muda before his accession.
                            He had issue ;
                            a)    Desa Raja, who succeeded as
Paduka Sri Maharaja, Raja Parameswara of
                                   Temasik

1400 - 1414 :  Paduka Sri Maharaja, Raja Parameswara of Temasik. Styled Raja Kecil Besar
                    
Paduka Sri Pekerma Di Raja before his accession. Succeeded on the death of his father,
                     ca.1403. Said to have visited China in 1411 together with his wife and son and a retinue
                     of 540 persons,
married to ;
                     (firstly) 
Talai Puchudi, daughter of Jambuga Rama Mudaliar, ruler of Bija Nagara,
                     grand-daughter of Raja Chulan.
                     (secondly) 
Demi Puteri, daughter of Tun Perpatih Tulus.
                     He died at Malacca, ca. 1414, having had issue ;
                     1)   Raja Muda, who succeeded as
Raja Sri Rama Vikrama, Raja of Temasik and
                           later became
Sultan Sri Iskandar Zulkarnain Shah, Raja of Malacca - see below.
1414 - 1424 :  Sultan Sri Iskandar Zulkarnain Shah, Raja Parameswara of Malacca.
                    
Styled Raja Muda Sri Rama Wikrama, before his ancession. Succeeded on the death of
                     his father in 1414. Said to have visited China in 1411 and again in 1419 and to have
                     reigned for three years at Temasik and twenty years at Malacca.
Married to ;
                     (firstly)  a daughter of Tun Perpatih Tulus,
                     (secondly)  a daughter of Tengku Sulaiman, Raja of Patani.
                     He died at Malacca in 1424, having at issue ;

                     1)  Raja Besar Muda, who succeeded as
Sultan Ahmad Megat, Sultan of Malacca
                          (s/o the daughter of Tun Perpatih Tulus - see below ) Styled Raja Besar Muda
                          before his accession. He is said to have succeeded his father and reigned for two
                          years,
married to a daughter of Bendahara, and had issue three sons ;
                          i)      Raden Bagus,
Bendahara Tun Perpatih Permuka Bijaya and later Sri Wak
                                  Di Raja, married to
a daughter of Tun Perpatih Tulus, Bendahara. He had issue
                                  two sons ;
                                  a)  Tun Perpatih Besar,
Sri Nara Di Raja.
                                  b)  Tun Perpatih Sandang,
Sri Wak DI Raja.

                    2)  Raden Tengah, who succeeded as
Paduka Sri Maharaja Sultan Muhammad Shah
                         Sultan of Malacca.

                    3)  Raden Anum,
Bendahara Sri Amar Di Raja, married a daughter of Tun Perpatih
                         Tulus,Bendahara. He had issue two daughters ;
                          i)      Raja Tua,
married to Paduka Seri Sultan Muzzaffar Shah Ibni Sultan Abu
                                  Shahid, (2nd.Sultan of Malacca.), youngest son of Paduka Sri Maharaja
                                  Sultan Muhammad Shah (1st.Sultan of Malacca).
                          ii)     A daughter,
married to Tun Hamzah, Bendahara Sri Amar Di Raja.
           
                    4)  Raden Bala.

1424 - 1444 :  Paduka Sri Maharaja Sultan Muhammad Shah, (1st.Sultan of Malacca).
                     Styled Raja Kecil Besar before his accession. Installed and assumed the title of Paduka
                    
Sri Sultan. Succeeded on the death of his father as Paduka Sri Maharaja in 1424.
                     Assumed the Muslim title of
Paduka Seri Sultan. He is said to have reigned fifty seven
                     years,
married to ;
                     (firstly)  a daughter of Tun Perpatih Muka Berjajar,
                     (secondly) 
Tun Ratnawati, a daughter of Mani Purindam, a Minister, by his wife,
                     Tun Rana Sandari, daughter of the Sri Nara Di Raja,
                     (thirdly)  a daughter of the Raja of Rokan.
                     He died in 1444, having had issue ;
                   
                     1)   Raja Kecil Mambang Ibni Almarhum Sultan Muhammad Shah (s/o the first wife).

                     2)   Raja Hitam, who succeeded as
Sultan Ibrahim Abu Shahid Shah Ibni Almarhum
                          
Sultan Muhammad Shah, Sultan of Malacca (s/o the Rokan princess).

                     3)   Raja Abu Kassim, who succeeded as
Sultan Muzzaffar Shah Ibni Almarhum
                           Sultan Muhammad Shah (2nd.Sultan of Malacca)
(s/o Tun Ratna Wati).
1444               Paduka Sri Maharaja Sultan Ibrahim Abu Shahid Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan
                      Muhammad Shah, Sultan of Malacca.
                      Succeeded on the death of his father, but was never installed. Deposed by his younger
                      brother. He was killed in an intrigue with Tamils in 1444.
1444 - 1459 :  Paduka Sri Sultan Muzzaffar Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Muhammad Shah.
                     (2nd.Sultan of Malacca).

                      Succeeded on the deposition of his elder brother and was installed at Malacca in 1444.

1459 - 1477 :  Paduka Seri Sultan Mansur Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Muzzaffar Shah.
                     (3rd.Sultan of Malacca).
                    Born in 1406. Succeeded after the death of his father and was installed at Malacca in
                     1459. Conquered Pahang, Kampar (Sumatra) and Siak. Received indiragiri in dowry
                     with his Javanese wife.
Married to ;
                     (firstly) 
Puteri Wanang Sri Lela Wangsa, a daughter of Maharaja Dewa Surya, ruler
                     of Pahang and a relative of the King of Siam, by whom he had issue two sons.
                     (secondly) 
Raden Galoh Chandra Kirana, a Javanese lady, daughter of Sang
                     Aji-ningrat, Betara of Mahapahit, by his wife, Raden Galoh Dewi Kesuma.
                     (thirdly)  a daughter of the Bendahara.
                     (fourthly) 
Princess Hang Li Po, a Chinese princess from China.
                     (fiftly) 
Tun Putih, daughter of Sri Nara Di Raja, by whom he had issue daughters only
                     He died in 1477, having had issue ;

                     1)   Raja Ahmad, who became Sultan Muhammad Shah I Ibni Almarhum Sultan Mansur
                           Shah, Sultan of Pahang (s/o Puteri Wanang Lela Wangsa). He was deposed to
                           Pahang by his father after killing the Bendahara son while they're playing 'sepak
                           takraw'.

                     2)   Raja Muhammad Ibni Almarhum Sultan Mansur Shah. (s/o Puteri Wanang Lela
                           Wangsa).

                     3)   Raja Sulaiman Ibni Almarhum Sultan Mansur Shah (s/o Puteri Wanang Lela
                           Wangsa). Appointed as Heir Apparent by his father with the title of
Raja Muda.
                           He died while being killed while trying to stop a man who had run amok.

                     4)   Raden Gegling @ Ratu Di Klang (s/o Raden Galoh Chandra Kirana). He was killed
                           by a man who had run amok.

                     5)   Paduka Mimat (s/o Princess Hang Li Po). He had issue ;
                           a)  Paduka Sri China, ruler of Langkat. He had issue ;
                                i)  Paduka Ahmad, who's decendents ruled at Jeram in Selangor.

                     6)   Raja Hussain (Raden), who succeeded as
Sultan Alauddin Ri'ayat Shah Ibni
                           Almarhum Sultan Mansur Shah, (4th.Sultan of Malacca).


                     7)   Raja Bakal binti Almarhum Sultan Mansur Shah (d/o a concubine).

                     8)   Raja Maha Dewi binti Almarhum Sultan Mansur Shah (d/o Raden Galoh Chandra
                           Kirana)
married to Sultan Ibrahim of Siak @ Megat Kudu, Sultan of Siak, son of
                           Maharaja Permaisura.

                     9)   Raja Chandra binti Almarhum Sultan Mansur Shah (d/o Raden Galoh Chandra
                           Kirana).

1477 - 1488 :  Paduka Sri Sultan Ala'uddin Ri'ayat Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Mansur Shah.
                    (5th.Sultan of Malacca).
                     Born in 1456. Succeeded on the death of his father in 1447. Married ;
                     (firstly)  a royal wife,
                     (secondly) 
Tun Senaja, daughter of Tun Ali Sri Nara DiRaja, by his wife, Tun Kudu,
                     widow of Paduka Sri Muzzaffar Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Muhammad Shah, and
                     daughter of Tun Perpatih Sedang bin Tun Perpatih Besar,
Bendahara Sri Wak Raja.
                    
He died at Pagoh, on the Muar river in 1488 believed to be poisoned, having had issue;
                 
                     1)   Sultan Munawar Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Ala'uddin Shah, Raja Munawar of
                           Kampar (s/o the royal wife). He died in 1505, having had issue ;
                           a)   Raja Abdullah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Munawar Shah, Raja of Kampar.
                                 Attempted to seize the throne with Portuguese assistance but was captured by
                                 them and exiled to Goa', married a daughter of Paduka Sri Sultan Mahmud
                                 Shah I Ibni Almarhum Sultan Ala'uddin Shah (6th.Sultan of Malacca) and
                                 Johore.

                     2)   Raja Muhammad, who succeeded as
Sultan Mahmud Shah I Ibni Almarhum
                          
Sultan Ala'uddin Ri'ayat Shah, (6th.Sultan of Malacca) and Sultan of Johore.
                           (s/o Tun Senaja) - see below.

                     3)   Raja Zainal Ibni Almarhum Sultan Ala'uddin Ri'ayat Shah (s/o the royal wife).
                           He was killed on the orders of his brother, Sultan Mahmud Shah I because of
                           intervine on Tun Fatimah families to be killed.

                     4)   Raja Hitam binti Almarhum Sultan Ala'uddin Ri'ayat Shah. (d/o Tun Senaja).

                     5)   Raja Fatimah binti Almarhum Sultan Ala'uddin Ri'ayat Shah (d/o Tun Senaja),
                           married to Raja Ahmad Ibni Almarhum Sultan Muhammad Shah, second son of
                           Sultan Muhammad Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Mansur Shah, Sultan of Pahang.

                         
1488 - 1528 :  Paduka Sri Sultan Mahmud Shah I Ibni Almarhum Sultan Ala'uddin Ri'ayat
                     Shah (6th.Sultan of Malacca) and Sultan of Johore.
                    Succeeded on the death of his father in 1488. Defeated and expelled from Malacca by
                     the Portuguese on 24th.July,1511. Moved his capital to Muar, Johore. Attacked again
                     by the Portuguese and established his capital at Kampar in Sumatera (Indonesia) after
                     driven out of Muar by the Portuguese in 1526. Married to;
                     (
firstly)  his first cousin, Raja Wati binti Almarhum Sultan Muhammad Shah,
                     daughter of Sultan Muhammad Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Mansur Shah, Sultan of
                     Pahang, by whom he had issue a son and two daughters.
                     (
secondlyPuteri Unang Kening binti Almarhum Sultan Mansur Shah, elder
                     daughter of Sultan Mansur Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar Shah, Sultan of
                     Kelantan by his wife, a daughter of the Raja of Champa.
                     (
thirdly) Tun Kudu @ Datuk Putih, a daughter of Tun Tahir, Bendahara Sri Nara
                     Di Raja.
                    (fourthlyTun Sabariah (alias Tun Birah), daughter of the Laksamana.
                     (
fiftlyTun Teja, in 1494, daughter of the Bendahara of Pahang.
                     (
sixthlyTun Fatimah, former wife of Tun Ali and daughter of the Bendahara Sri
                     Maharaja
whose whole family being killed by the order of Sultan Mahmud Shah.
                     He died in Kampar, Sumatera in 1530, having had issue six sons and eight daughters ;

                     1)   Sultan Ahmad @ Raja Mah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Mahmud Shah (s/o Puteri Unang
                           Kening). He was killed during the battle with the Portuguese in Malacca.

                     2)   Raja Kassim, who succeeded as
Paduka Seri Sultan Muzzaffar Shah Ibni
                          
Almarhum Sultan Mahmud Shah, installed as first Sultan of Perak. (s/o
                           Puteri Unang Kening).- see Perak Geneology.

                     3)   Raja Ala'uddin Ibni Almarhum Sultan Mahmud Shah (s/o Tun Fatimah). Appointed
                           by his father as Heir Apparent with the title of
Raja Muda and later raised to
                           sovereign rank with the style of
Sultan Muda Ahamd Shah. He died (poisoned by
                           his father) at Batu Pelabuhan (burried at Bukit Batu).

                     4)   Raja Raden Ali, who succeeded as Sultan Ala'uddin Ri'ayat Shah II Ibni Almarhum
                           Sultan Mahmud Shah, Sultan of Johore (s/o Tun Fatimah).

                     5)   Raja Nara Ibni Almarhum Sultan Mahmud Shah (s/o Puteri Unang Kening).

                     6)   A daughter (full sister of Sultan Ahmad),
married to Sultan Abdullah of Kampar.

                     7)   A daughter (d/o Puteri Unang Kening),
married firstly to Sultan Abdul Jalil Ibni
                           Almarhum Sultan Muhammad Shah, Sultan of Pahang (died 1511), eldest son of
                           her uncle Sultan Muhammad Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Mansur Shah, Sultan of
                           Pahang,
married secondly at Malacca in July 1511, Sultan Mansur Shah Ibni
                           Almarhum Sultan Ahmad Shah, Sultan of Pahang (killed ca 1519),
married thirdly
                          to Sultan Abdul Jalil Ibni Almarhum Raja Merling, Sultan of Inderagiri, son of Raja
                           Merling, Raja of Inderagiri by his wife, Raja Bakal, daughter of Paduka Seri Sultan
                           Mansur Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Muzzaffar Shah, Sultan of Malacca.

                     8)   Raja Fatimah (alias Putri Mah') binti Almarhum Sultan Mahmud Shah (d/o Puteri
                           Unang Kening),
married to Raja Abdullah, who succeeded as Sultan Khoja Ahmad
                           Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Ibrahim, of Siak, son of Sultan Ibrahim of Siak alias
                           Megat Kudu, by his wife Maharaja Dewi, daughter of Sultan Mansur Shah of
                           Malacca. She had issue two sons.

                     9)   Raja Amar Dewi binti Almarhum Sultan Mahmud Shah (d/o Tun Teja).

                     10) Raja Kamala Dewi binti Almarhum Sultan Mahmud Shah (d/o Puteri Unang Kening)
                          
married to Raja Ahmad bin Raja Muhammad, Raja of Terengganu, son of Raja
                           Muhammad Ibni Almarhum Sultan Mansur Shah, Sultan of Terengganu.

                     11) Raja Sri Dewi binti Almarhum Sultan Mahmud Shah (d/o Puteri Unang Kening),
                          
married to Raja Ahmad Ibni Almarhum Sultan Gombak, Raja of Kelantan (died in
                           1547), son of Sultan Gombak Ibni Almarhum Sultan Mansur Shah, Sultan of
                           Kelantan.

                     12) Raja Dewi binti Almarhum Sultan Mahmud Shah (d/o Tun Sabariah),
married to
                          
Sultan Zainal Abidin Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Mahmud Shah, Sultan of Pahang
                           (died 1555), younger son of Sultan Mahmud Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan
                           Muhammad Shah, Sultan of Pahang. She died in 1584.

                     13) Raja Puteh binti Sultan Mahmud Shah (d/o Tun Fatimah),
married to Sultan
                           Hussain of Haru.      

                     14) Raja Khadijah binti Almarhum Sultan Mahmud Shah (d/o Tun Fatimah),
married at
                          Bentan, ca.1519, as his second wife, Sultan Mahmad Ibni Alamrhum Sultan
                           Muhammad Shah, Sultan of Pahang (died 1530), younger son of Sultan
                           Muhammad Shah, Sultan of Pahang.
