The first question any newcomer will ask, upon entering our industry
is “How do I get a greyhound?”.
Surprisingly, this can often be a difficult question to answer with
the reply more than likely including a series of other questions such as; “How much do you have to
spend?” and “Would you prefer a pup or a ready to race greyhound?”.
Ultimately, the decision surrounding these questions should remain
personal and according to your individual needs, however GRV can assist you in making this
decision.
GRV have established a notice board for our industry’s Breeders to
list any pups they have available for sale.
Breeders will display the appropriate details on a business card with
the knowledge that you might contact them to enquire about any pups they have available.
· Greyhound Racing Victoria will not provide advice or recommendation
on the purchase of any pup.
· This notice board serves as a guide only and any purchase that is made is at the
discretion of the owner.
· GRV recommends that prior to purchasing a greyhound, all owners request a proof of
inoculations.
· GRV recommends that any new owner requests a vet inspection of the greyhound for sale
prior to the purchase.
