Yuneec-Flightstar e-Spyder

The e-Spyder is the perfect combination of the advanced Yuneec electric power system and the efficient airframe of the Flightstar Spyder Ultralight. Conceived at the 2009 Aero exposition in Friedrichshafen, Germany, the e-Spyder was built with the kind support of Yuneec International, the world leader of electric aircraft and now e-flight components.

The e-Spyder has a very light airframe made from aircraft grade aluminum, carbon fiber and thin walled chromoly tubing. Numerous changes were made from the standard Flightstar Spyder kit to allow operation under FAR-103 while utilizing the Yuneec 20 kW (26.8hp) motor system.

The future of environmentally friendly flight is looking bright with recent advancements in battery technology, computer controlled chargers and controllers. The creative minds at Yuneec are leading the way.
