By Ryan Scott | PC Articles | Oct 30, 2009 9:42 PM | Comment

Fancy Telltale's new Tales of Monkey Island series? Enjoying old classics like Loom, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, and The Dig, thanks to the magic of Steam? Well, feast your eyes on the game that kicked off LucasArts' adventure legacy: Maniac Mansion. Or, more precisely for our purposes, Maniac Mansion Deluxe -- a free, graphically overhauled upgrade to the original 1987 version, courtesy of a group of LucasArts enthusiasts that comprised the now-defunct LucasFan Games. They (much like old-school LucasArts itself) may be gone, but their stellar work lives on. Read More »

"Wee for Wii" Family Wins in Court

By Tyler Barber | Wii News | Oct 30, 2009 11:41 AM | Comment

Sky News is reporting that the family of Jennifer Strange has been awarded $16 million in the wrongful death case against Sacramento radio station KDND-FM. Back in 2007 a "Hold your Wee for a Wii" contest was held at the radio station, where the mother of three drank an estimated two gallons of water while not going to the bathroom. Strange left the competition early with a headache, and was later found dead in her home from water intoxication.

While no criminal charges were filed against the Morning Rave show, 10 employees were fired from the station. Read More »

The Consensus: Grand Theft Auto IV: The Ballad of Gay Tony Review

By Will Tuttle | Xbox 360 Reviews | Oct 30, 2009 11:02 AM | Comment

The Ballad of Gay Tony isn't just a piece of DLC for Grand Theft Auto IV, it's practically a new game in and of itself. Sure, the core GTA experience remains largely unchanged, and the sprawling Liberty City still serves as an expansive backdrop, but Gay Tony is simply a bigger and better game than The Lost and Damned (the first downloadable GTA4 "episode"). It's also quite a bit more entertaining and likable than its predecessor, which featured characters that most people would refer to as vile scumbags. Read More »

BioShock 2 Hands-on: Can it Live Up to Big Brother?

By Anthony Gallegos | Xbox 360 Previews | Oct 29, 2009 4:57 PM | Comment

The biggest part of the original BioShock was, for me, the discovery and exploration of Rapture. Without the character of Rapture -- and yeah, I do feel the city was a character of sorts -- BioShock would have been an okay shooter with a pretty cool story, rather than many people's game of the year. So now that I'm revisiting Rapture in BioShock 2 (which I recently played for about an hour), I find myself wondering if the final game will manage to engage me in enough new ways to make it a product that stands on its own, rather than one that tries to put patches on the hand-me-downs from its big brother. The Consensus: WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 Review

By Gerald Villoria | Xbox 360 Reviews | Oct 29, 2009 2:29 PM | Comment

This year, THQ is taking pro wrestling as a social experience to a new plateau. With WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010, players can create their own interactive storylines, cut custom promos, make backstage assaults, and book the matches of their dreams. It's this story designer mode that I feel is SmackDown vs. Raw 2010's greatest improvement over the previous games. Now can you build an entire season of shows, where you decide what the wrestlers say and do. Funny or dramatic, it's up to you. Read More »
