Modern Warfare 2 character, 'Ghost' is being considered for his own game, reckons voice actor Craig Fairbrass.
Speaking at the Modern Warfare 2 launch event - where we took all the snaps - Fairbrass mentioned that "they" (presumably Infinity Ward) are considering a game solely for the SAS solider.

"I did in the last game a voice for a character called Gaz and in this game I'm now voicing a guy called Ghost, who now just got a spin-off comic of his own and they're talking about another little game to go with it," he said. "So, I'm quite excited about it. It's grown and grown and grown."
And what is it that's getting people all excited about Ghost (apparently)? "I don't know. It's the whole thing I suppose of not knowing who he is," adds Fairbrass. "He's like the head of the SAS and... I'm just so thrilled to be a part of it, I mean it just gets bigger and bigger each year."
Sounds lovely, but can we have Modern Warfare 3 first, please (or lord forbid, something new)?
They built this character up so much, but I didn't really get him, he wasn't really given enough game time. Especially if you consider how awesome IW made Price and Soap, or Gaz even. DLC would make sense for me to give Ghost backstory over 2 or 3 prequel missions.
I don't believe we are done and dusted here. Personally, i think with the way the story ended there were too many loose ends. I won't spoil it for anyone but i didn't feel the game was in any way finished and i wouldn't be surprised if DLC incs. not only more M/player maps and Spec' Op's but also further single player missions. Things are said and done in the single player that make me think this isn't over. I'm not being specific because i don't want to ruin anything for anyone who hasn't finished it yet.
I think if there is a game containing ghost that it will be well before MW:2, so we get to know the character more! plus we don't actually see what happens to ghost and roach, we presume they are dead! but they are former SAS so basically sure they know that one day they might be in a situation where they could be killed to wouldn't surprise me if they played dead and then made there getaway when the yanks had done one! maybe read the comic and see what info that has!

He didn't even change his voice for the role, he used the EXACT SAME VOICE of Gaz for Ghost.
Factor in that Price AND Soap survived the end of MW then it's not to strange to imagine Gaz might have just pulled through as well somehow.

Ghost is not Gaz, not is he a ghost of gaz. There was some fan speculation that Ghost was actually Gaz, though this is near impossible since he was shot in the head. Plus On Infinity Ward's website Ghost was voted the most favorite (new) character in Modern Warfare 2. So i can see why they would want to make a spin-off game about ghost (IMO i would like that), he's a mysteria we don't know much about him part from some holes will be filled about his past & other things from the spin-off comic thats out the now as well.
wikipedia says: The other primary member of the Task Force is Sergeant Simon Riley (voiced by Craig Fairbrass, who also voiced Gaz in Call of Duty 4), a mysterious character by the codename of "Ghost" who conceals his face with a balaclava.
So it's not Gaz! There just being cheapskates and used the same voice actor lol

It is near impossible, but not impossible as people have survived being shot in the head in real life before (even if it is a rare occurence, and they usually don't get away with it lightly).

Yeah they did.......... but come on there were SAS! If Soap can pull a kife out of his chest and throw it into someones head, being set on fire is nothing! Pah. I'm sure I saw some water near by........ or maybe they'll go all Disney and have all the woodland creatures pi22 on them to put them out. The new game will be Ghost and Roach helping the animals fight off some poachers!
I was actually shocked and a bit upset when Ghost got killed - much more shocked than I was at killing a whole airport worth of civilians. A great story I thought overall.
I think its going to be DLC stuff. IW said they would be supporting heavily with DLC so this makes sense and also a nice twist. I think they're looking at the GTAIV situation in terms of DLC.
also i could believe the ghost is gaz thing if thats how it turns out true.
DLC would be cool to have some backstory or something.
i find it hard to believe a ghost game would ever be set after this as being shot and burnt is usually a killer! mind you if gaz did survive a gun shot to the head at point blank range n became ghost... why can he not survive more bullets and fire? maybe he has a S tattooed on his chest?
Gaz is dead, full stop. No-one can survive a point blank bullet to the brain, not even a videogame character. I suspect there'll be at least 3 pieces of DLC, one for the story, perhaps, or MW3 will tie that up, and the other 2 for the multiplayer. I very much doubt there'll be a full spin-off game of Ghost.
im sorry but when i was playin the game, at the end i was expecting ghost to take off his mask and show himself as gaz! he obviously wears the mask to cover his disfigured face from the gun shot that didnt kill him!!
