Swimming Pool - Highworth Recreation Centre

Picture of the poolWhen the sun shines, The Rec is the place for exercise and relaxation. Both sides of the pool building retract, opening onto sun terraces, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing family day out.

When the weather cools, the 25 metre, deck level pool is fully enclosed under a state of the art domed roof, providing a comfortable swimming environment.

We also have a 3 metre diving board and a 1 metre springboard.

Important Information - Please note that supervision ratios for children's safety are in effect and must be followed.

As a guide, the Institute of Sport and Recreation Management (ISRM) advise babies should be 6 months plus, due to temperature and Chlorination levels.

Enrol on a swimming course and learn to swim or improve your skills, whatever your age or stage, under the guidance of ASA qualified coaches in accordance with the nationally recognized award scheme.

Everybody 60 and over will be entitled to swim for free at published public swimming sessions at any of our pools. The scheme is part of a national campaign to promote swimming, general fitness, more active lifestyles and well-being.

Birthday Parties

Celebrate your birthday party in style at one of our swimming pools. Choose from a party where your birthday tea is provided (Link or Oasis) or provide your own party tea (Dorcan or Health Hydro).

If you use one of our gyms, swim in one of our five pools or use one or more of our 80 fitness classes more than once a week, our Leisure Passports will save you money.
