The Town are set to complete the capture of Coventry City winger Ashley Cain on a month's loan, subject to approval from the Football Association, Football League and Football Conference.

A product of the Sky Blues' academy, the 19-year-old made his debut for City in the Championship at the tail end of the 2008/09 campaign when coming off the substitutes' bench against Charlton Athletic at the Ricoh Arena.

Since then, the wide-man has gone on to make a further seven appearances for Chris Coleman's side and made his full debut against Hartlepool United in the Carling Cup in August.

Blessed with blistering pace, Cain is highly thought of by the Sky Blues' coaching staff and his promise was rewarded with a one-year professional contract in the summer.

He will wear squad number 28.
