Safety Coordinator

The Safety Coordinator may be assigned by the Laboratory Supervisor/Principal Investigator (PI) to assist with safety and compliance efforts in the laboratory, as necessary.  The duties of the Safety Coordinator include:

  • Assist the PI with maintaining laboratory compliance;
  • Act as a liaison to the Office of Environmental Health and Safety (OEHS) to assist with lab safety inspections, coordinate safety training, and maintain overall lab compliance, including hazardous waste management.
