Sapporo brewery in Japan is selling the drinkable future in a bottle: Space Barley. It's beer made with barley grown in space. What the what? Yes. This is pretty much insane to me, but it's one of those once in a lifetime things like buying a piece of Yankee Stadium, if you could drink Yankee Stadium and it was grown in space. It's that amazing.
The beer is extremely limited in supply, and there's only about 250 boxes of it. It's $113 a six pack, or about $18 a beer. Sadly, living in New York City and getting used to city prices for things makes that price not sound outrageous. I mean, if it was partially made in space, it's worth it. This is the perfect gift for your beer drinking wanna-be astronaut friend. Maybe someone will open a zero gravity bar so you can get the full space experience. (via Gizmodo)
