11 Year Old Hangs Himself Due to Bullying

By News One April 10, 2009 12:01 pm

Two days after the worst day of her life, when she found her 11-year-old son had committed suicide by hanging himself, Sirdeaner L. Walker said on Wednesday she wants the bullying to stop.

She found Carl Joseph Walker-Hoover hanging by an extension cord on the second floor of their 124 Northampton Ave. home Monday night after he had endured another day of taunting at New Leadership Charter School, where he was a sixth-grader, she said.

“I just want to help some other child. I know there are other kids being picked on, and it’s day in and day out,” said Walker, 43.

WOW this is so sad, and I can say I was bulliyed too in school….and then I became the bully, and for yrs. I thought I had so many friends, well it wasn’t until 2yrs. ago a real friend told me..I was a bully and she was scared of me for yrs. WOW…I felt really bad because I am not that type of person today and back then I had been beatin up and ran home just bout everyday, until I fought back, then people didn’t mess with me, but I didn’t know they felt I was a bully, and the way things r today, certainly wasn’t like that in the 70’s…Today I have friends because who I am, not who I was….
