Last year I moved to Sydney.
We decided to move into something small and affordable. Our apartment is tiny.
Here’s the payoff…
The view from our bedroom tonight.
Happy New Year everybody!
Late Update: Here’s a bonus photo taken from the other side of the bridge by friends in a nearby park.

Looks fracking great. Wish I was there.
Lovely picture! To think that i was under that bridge just a few months ago for my first visit to Australia. I wrote about it on my wordpress blog. There’s a link at http://www.twitter.com/Geotravel Well, thanks for the inspiration! I loved Sydney. It all seems so much like a dream now…and i wish i’d had time to tour the outbacks and eat more local produce. Happy New Year. Peace be with You.
Geotravel
All the more reason to come back soon.
I like the picture. Every day when I walk to the ferry I see hundreds of people trying to take exactly the same shot. I wonder what would happen if you created a photo montage of a year in the life of the bridge from all those shots!
I used to live in Cremorne Point and always watched the fireworks from the pier – every year they were amazing! Happy New Year!
They were interviewing the family who make the fireworks. Apparently they have been making them since the 1700s and hail from Sicily. When they moved to Australia the family business came with them.
They certainly outdid themselves last night….
i wanna go there
Well do it!
Spectacular view! Thank you for sharing and Happy New Year 2010.
AMAZING!
Splendid!
Happy New Year!
great post,
I love fireworks,
IT’S A GREAT NEW YEAR CELEBRATION!!!
Happy New Year everybody. Nice to meet you. I like your blog !!
Happy New Year. Hasn’t arrived here in Georgia, USA yet.
Hope you have a good one in Georgia!
Happy New Year…
awesome! Happy New Year, thanks for posting that pic
Happy New Year from Oregon! I know so many of us here in the states would love to visit Australia. Please post more pics so we can keep on seeing what we’re missing!
It’s hard not to love Australia…
It’s not known as “The Lucky country” for no reason!
Get yourself over here… it’s an amazing place to travel around.
Oh…. and I’ll find some other pics to whet your appetite.
Absolutely fantabulous! (I may have made that word up or heard some form of this combo.) But fantabulous!
Fantabulous is a perfect description… I think everyone around at our place ranked it as Best. Fireworks. Ever.
That is absolutely amazing!!
What a stunning view you got
there! The 101 firworks this
year was just like any other
year from the past, a total
blast off; that’s all.
Hong Kong’s city view this
year’s got it all, lights
shows on skycrapers exterior,
sequenced firworks from all
of them, one follow by
another…
I just realize 101’s firework
is probably just average…
=•=|||
Envying you!
Happy new year!
Yeah… the kitchen is tiny, the bathroom even smaller…. but the view makes up for it all.
Always something to see out on the harbour…. five minutes ago the first penguin of 2010 swam past!
LOVE THE PHOTO! How great to be living in such a beatiful place. you are very fortunate. thank you for the photo share and happy new year. p.s. do you garden? try it… you will like it!!!!!
Sadly we had to choose between garden or harbour and the water won!
We’ll aim for a garden next time….
