The Bond Museum in Keswick, Lake District

Tomorrow Never Dies

BMW 750 iL

Pierce and producers pull it off again with Tomorrow Never Dies. BMW takes centre stage on the vehicle front, to the dismay of some fans, but two absolutely great stunt sequences were filmed in this movie, one in a car and the other a motorbike.

The BMW 750il is driven by the touchpad on Bond’s Ericsson phone (the actual one being on display in the museum) supplied by Q to Bond who uses it to great effect in the Hamburg hotel car park chase - which was actually filmed in a Brent Cross multistorey here in the UK.

BMW R 1200 Motorbike

The second superb stunt sequence was performed by French motorcycle expert Jean-Pierre Goy using BMW R 1200. The stunt was performed for real but the helicopter's rotor blades were digitally added to the footage of the bike jump in post production as it would have been too dangerous to film it for real.

Two of these bikes are owned by the museum, including Pierre’s own bike.
