Jermaine Beckford is mobbed after scoring at Man U

Striker Jermaine Beckford has once again been named the PFA League One Fans' Player of the Month

Becks, who is pictured celebrating his winning goal at Manchester United last weekend, adds the December PFA award to his growing collection.

Jermaine, whose future is currently the subject of much media speculation, has scored 20 goals already this season and has scored five in his last three outings.

His form appears to have caught the attention of Newcastle manager Chris Hughton who has spoken publicly about his interest in the player.

United manager Simon Grayson said: "Jermaine has shown his quality and his instincts in front of goal and to have 20 again at this stage is terrific.

"Strikers are an important commodity and you can never stop the speculation, particularly in Jermaine's case with his contract being up in the summer.

"As I've said before there are three scenarios. One is that Jermaine sees out the season here, scores more goals and moves on for a free; another is that a new contract is agreed at some stage; and the third is that we receive what we consider to be an offer too good to turn down and Jermaine moves on.

"The only certainity is that whatever happens will be in the best interests of the club."
