Boo hoo. The writer sounds like he's about 112 years old.
I don't feel bad for him if he can't figure out the channels. Maybe he should get someone younger to help him. I'm sure there some charity groups that can assist the elderly with their TVs.
News flash. The Mountain West Conference DOES NOT have control over the broadcast rights for road games, genius.
Every league appears on around 10 networks in the first month.
If we were still with the 4 letter network, UNLV would get ZERO games broadcast. And if we got lucky and they picked up one, it would be on espnU on a Tuesday night.
And the Versus deal will be worked out soon. So step off the ledge.
I don't really see how it's a setback to the team either. He's sitting out this year anyway.
It would sure be a setback to have this happen when he is eligible. Hopefully by having the procedure now, he'll avoid a situation that could cost the team in the future.
I hope he's ready to work hard on his own to rehab and then gain strength and improve his game.
It won't be like last year.
We had Shaw and Jasper rehabing. As well as Hanni, Chop and Stanback sitting out. Basically a whole team of guys who could relate to each other's situation. I think that makes for a good environment for the guys sitting out.
No "black" squad this year.
Assuming no one else redshirts, QT will be the only one not playing or traveling w/ the team. He's going to have a real test of his individual work ethic and desire.
Very cool!
Looks like I will be leaving work early on the 14th.
Can't wait to see Wink playing in the Thomas & Mack again.
Wish Rene the best of luck in all future endeavours.
You know he'll leave everything he has on the court, and with his athleticism and versatility I bet he makes some nice $$$ overseas ala Umeh and White.
They should ensure that Rene and Wink are in the summer league just to sell tickets :)

We'll have a small chance of landing Joseph if we can put together a great year.
-Get ranked
-Get to the dance
-Win some games
That is the recipe for having a shot at players like Joseph. That is what UNLV will have to accomplish with all these new players in order to be in the mix.
After last year, I'm not holding my breath.
It would also help our chances if maybe one of the Findlay Prep players on the team averaged more than 2 pts and 1 rebound.
I will enjoy watching Joseph this year in Vegas. Findlay Prep games were more fun to watch than most of the UNLV games last year (especially our conference games).
I'll wish him well and root for Joseph at whatever school he chooses. Doubt it's UNLV.
