Wifi (Wireless Fidelity) is an internet technology which allows you to access the internet within a local area without the need to physically connect your computer to a computer network, instead a wireless broadband signal is sent around the local area allowing computer users to connect to the internet in that area wirelessly.

Public places where you can find Wifi hotspots these days are hotels, airports, restaurants, cafes, bars and railway stations. All this means you can travel around the world and just need to find Wifi hotspots from which you can easily access the internet, whether its to update with your emails, surf the internet and even playing games on the internet whilst on your travels.

Talking about playing games, we wont forget that Nintendo the video game company, one of the most influential in the industry. The Nintendo Wi-Fi connection is an online multiplayer gaming service run by Nintendo to provide free online play in compatible Nintendo DS and Wii games. Nintendo Wi-Fi connection puts you in touch with players everywhere, across the room to across the globe. Use friend codes to play online with specific people, or compete anonymously through worldwide matchmaking. With millions of people online, there’s always someone ready to play!

Step to install Nintendo Wi-Fi

You can play on Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection using the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector. Follow the instructions that came with the Nintendo Wi-Fi connector:

  1. Before inserting the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector, enter the installation CD and the registration tool will automatic pop up. Click OK to begin installing.
  2. Select your language and click OK to begin installation. If you receive an error stating that “You are not connected to the internet”, make sure you have a broadband internet connection and had connect it
  3. After that plug the Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector, if you receive a warning saying, “Hi-speed USB device plugged into non-hi-speed USB hub“, just click OK.
  4. Now click on the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection registration tool in the status bar at the lower right of the monitor to register your Wii.
  5. Go to the settings in the Wii console and set the wireless connection to “Nintendo Wi-Fi USB Connector” and press Next to continue.
  6. Go back to your PC and you will see your Wii’s nickname with a yellow question mark (?) to the left of it. Click on the Nintendo Wii nickname and select “Grant permission to connect“. Now you will see a little blue man.
  7. Now go back to the Wii and press Next when the setup is complete and you are connected. Press OK to test the connection.
