Tools
To make your visit to www.iata.org as pleasant and rewarding as possible, we have included links to several common Internet tools. On our site, you see that documents are usually available as Adobe PDF files (see below for more information). Also there are instances where Macromedia Shockwave or Flash (see below for more information) have been used to enhance Internet content. In general, it is also a good idea to use the latest version of your favorite Internet browser to ensure that you are getting the most from any web site on the Internet.

Below are links to Adobe Acrobat Reader, Macromedia Shockwave and Flash players, as well as the latest versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator. These tools are all offered free from their respective publishers. Be aware, however, that some of these downloads may require a significant amount of time to obtain, depending on the speed of your Internet connection.

About PDFs
Portable Document Format (PDF) is the standard for electronic distribution of documents because it keeps the look and feel of documents that must maintain specific formatting. PDF files are compact, cross-platform, and can be viewed by anyone with a free Acrobat Reader.

In general, on our site, PDF documents are indicated as such with a (pdf) mention after the link, for instance: Annual Report 2007  (pdf)

To view a PDF file, you need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. Acrobat Reader is free software you can download directly from Adobe's Website.

bout Shockwave and Flash
Macromedia Shockwave Player and Macromedia Flash Player are both free Web players from Macromedia. Together, they bring users the best rich-media content on the Web. Each has a distinct purpose.

Macromedia Flash Player displays Web application front-ends, high-impact Web site user interfaces, interactive online advertising, and short- to medium-form animation.

Macromedia Shockwave Player displays destination Web content such as high-performance multiuser games, interactive product simulations, online entertainment, and training applications. Through Xtras, Shockwave Player is also extensible to play back custom-built applications. A Flash Player is automatically included with any download of the Shockwave Player.
