Vikings: Strong start on the road could set tone

Minnesota begins the season with two games away from the Metrodome because of conflicts with the Twins and caps the season with two of three games on the road. Wins at Cleveland and Detroit in Weeks 1 and 2 could be a sign of good things to come.

Rough Stretch
The Vikings open the season with two games on the road, and also end the season with two of their final three games away from the Metrodome.
3 Key Moments
The Vikings haven't defeated the Steelers since 1995. They will travel to Pittsburgh in Week 7 for the first time in eight years in what could be a low-scoring, smash-mouth affair between two of 2008's best defenses.
The Vikings, Packers and Bears all have the easiest schedules in 2009, based on the 2008 records of their opponents. The defending NFC North champions may have to win their final division contest at Soldier Field against the Bears on Monday Night Football in Week 16, if they are to defend their title.
The Vikings square off with division rival Green Bay in Week 4 on Monday Night Football. The teams split the series last season and could be in a fight down the stretch again this season for control of the division.
