Enhance Your Teaching Skills

Working with Digital Historic Maps

Thousands of digitized items from the Map Collection are available and can be incorporated into a variety of spatial analysis programs like ArcGIS and Google Earth. This workshop will show you how that can benefit your research.

Reminder: House Tutor and Freshman Proctor Opportunities

GSAS students are encouraged to explore House Tutor and freshman Proctor positions, which offer a chance to play a meaningful role in the life of Harvard College, to hone your mentoring skills, and to gain valuable educational and administrative experience. House Tutor applications are available here. Completed applications are due by January 29, 2010. More information is available at the Office of Student Life website. Freshman Proctor applications and information can be found at the Freshman Dean’s Office website. The deadline for applications is rolling, but priority is given to those who submit applications by January 11, 2010.

View Your Record in the Student Progress Database

GSAS has given access to the Student Progress Database for all GSAS students to see their own current records. Additionally, access has been given to faculty advisors to see the records of their advisees. If any information looks erroneous or incomplete, please contact the department staff of the student's program.


Sign Up for Emergency Text Message Notification

Harvard has launched MessageMe, a new emergency broadcast text messaging service for all members of the University community. Students, staff, and faculty may sign up to receive text messages in the event of an extreme emergency on campus.
