Lauren Conrad's never been known for her hard-partying lifestyle, but last weekend she kicked it into high gear for her cousin's bachelorette. And before you get all judgmental and "What would her mom think?" you might wanna take a look at these mother-daughter pix from party central! Yep, turns out Kathy Conrad (that's Mrs. C to you) was totes along for the ride, joining the girls for dinner/drinks at the club on Saturday and a fun-filled day at the beach on Sunday. What, haven't you ever heard of a girls' weekend before?

Lauren Conrad's always had amazing style, so we were bummed when she announced back in March that she'd be putting her chic-yet-pricey line (the Lauren Conrad Collection) on hiatus. But while we were mourning the loss of the LC Collection (psst, any extras, send 'em our way!), Lauren was churning out her latest project: an affordable new line of jeans and blouses for Kohl's department store!

The Hillzie's latest round of designs (coming atcha this fall) will be a recession-friendly vershe of her laid-back California styles. And this time, she's looking to please everyone, no matter what your budget -- or body type.

So what's Conrad's advice to all you would-be fashionistas? "It's all about finding silhouettes that highlight the best parts of your figure," LC told Shape magazine. And, of course, knowing how to dress for less. Natch, Lauren's ready to help out on both counts -- her new Kohl's line hits shelves this October.

Say what you like about Lauren Conrad, but good luck trying to get under her skin. The former Hillzie's had it up to here with naysayers, and she's getting in the last word (or in her case, three words) in the form of a "sticks and stones" tattoo on her lower back.

"Nine months ago, I reached my breaking point," Conrad explained (according to Splash News, via LimeLife). "I felt bad about myself because certain people were relentless attacking me and my reputation ... [My friend] sat me down and asked: 'Why do you care what people say about you? How does it really affect you at the end of the day?'"

"I couldn't come up with a good answer," LC continued, "and I [realized] I had to stop worrying about what other people think. The next day, I got a tattoo ... that says 'sticks and stones' because they may break my bones, but words will never hurt me. Once I let go of that, I felt more confident about myself. And that made my decision to leave The Hills pretty easy."

Awww,  sorry to lose you from The Hills, lady, but glad to hear you've got such a thick skin! 'Specially since getting that tat must've hurt like h-e-double-hockey-sticks ...

Heidi Pratt took Hills fans by storm with her nearly-naked Playboy spread, but she's not the only Hillzie lookin' to show off her curves. For the second time in two years, Lauren Conrad's on the cover of  Shape magazine -- and her interview's almost as revealing as that orange string bikini she's wearin'!

According to Shape.com, LC knows exactly how settling down with someone can lead to unwanted weight gain. In fact, she even has a name for it! "I call it the 'boyfriend layer'," she tells the mag. "[Kyle and I] were having more romantic dinners out, and I was exercising less."

But where there's a will, there's a way. And, the way Lauren sees it, where there's a boyfriend, there's a built-in gym buddy! "I just ask Kyle, 'You feel like working out?'" says the Hills star. Her rationale? "It's way more fun than hitting the gym alone!"

Most girls shudder at the thought of having their every move, smile and outfit critiqued by catty onlookers. But for Heidi Pratt, it's pretty much an everyday occurrence. So how does she cope? Simple: she reminds herself that, in a weird way, all that backbiting and attention is actually sorta flattering. Oh, and she's got a message for all you haters out there: BRING IT ON!

"[I]t's so much fun that people know who I am and actually care enough to talk," Heidi admits in the September issue of Playboy. "If women aren't jealous of you, talking about you and cutting you down, then you're a nerd, and I would never want to be that."

We first caught Whitney Port reading Lauren Conrad's L.A. Candy late last month, and now she's gone ahead and published her official book review! Turns out, Whit thinks LC's a "wonderful writer," even if she does kinda/sorta/TOTALLY remind Whitney of Jane Roberts, (i.e. the book's narrator slash girl-next-door).

"I just finished reading [L.A. Candy] and I absolutely loved it!!!" Whitney wrote on her website yesterday. "[I]t was so fun to see how our lives were re-imagined on paper." Natch, Whit identified most with LC's wide-eyed protagonist ("Jane was the truest to real life," wrote Whit. "She was very Lauren!") but said the whole thing hit super-duper close to home. So just how strong WAS the feeling of deja vu?

We've already seen Heidi's sexy Playboy cover. (The words down n' dirty don't even BEGIN to cover it.) And now we only have two more days(!) til the XXX mag officially hits stores. But much as we'd like to see Heids' "tasteful" spread (her sis sez she won't be flashin' her naughty bits), we're mainly interested in reading the interview. Which, FYI, was conducted by special Playboy correspondent (and longtime Lauren Conrad hater) Spencer Pratt.

Not surprisingly, Playboy's keeping most of the story on lockdown til the mag's official release date (August 14), but PerezHilton.com managed to get ahold of a few tasty tidbits. So what can we expect?

There were more than a few surprises at Sunday night's Teen Choice Awards. And while we weren't expecting to see Miley Cyrus work the pole (or Spencer Pratt lose the Choice Villain honors to Gossip Girl's Chuck Bass Ed Westwick), we kinda had a feeling Lauren Conrad would take home the Choice TV Female Reality Star title again.
