How can you participate in an event that is sure to be Outrageous, Outlandish, and Out of this World? Albuquerque Pride and Alibi have joined forces to produce an Outstanding event that celebrates and honors the GLBT (Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender) Community. You have the opportunity to participate in a friendly competition and submit thousands of votes that tells us what you think about the best and brightest our GLBT Community has to offer. Here’s to you, Albuquerque, and to your finest in nominating and casting your votes for the 1st Annual Albuquerque Pride and Alibi 2010 Outstanding Awards. The Outstanding Awards show is scheduled for March 6th, 2010 at the beautiful Radisson Hotel and Water Park. We look forward to seeing you come OUT for this event.
You may send your nominations until January 31st. Remember, all nominees must be part of the Albuquerque Metropolitan Area.
Tony Medina, Mr. NM Gay Pride presents… Celebration! A benefit show for Albuquerque Pride on Jan 16, 2010.
Tony Media, current Mr. NM Pride, will be on the Desert 411 Talk Radio this morning at 9:40AM with RJ Taylor. Tony will be talking about Albuquerque’s Pride 2010 Event. RJ is a photographer and multimedia artist with a blog talk radio show from Palm Springs, California.
Each week there are different quests and they go on location to talk with them. Tony will be talking about Albuquerque Pride and what it is like to be a titleholder. Further, he will talk about Pride 2010 and who will be featured. Anyone can call in at 347.237.4648. [click here for the show]

Albuquerque mayor-elect Richard Berry will be sworn in today at 6 p.m. at the Albuquerque Convention Center (West Convention Center). There is a reception that follows at 7 p.m. New City Councilors Mike Cook and Dan Lewis will also be sworn in. This event is listed as a private event, but if you are able to attend it would be great to let our new city representatives know that our GLBT community is “alive and kicking” and actively engaged in our government.
