Could Mary J Blige have gone too far? Reports are surfacing that MJB completely lost her shit over the Grammy weekend with her band right in front of Hollywood royalty like Barbra Streisand. Jane Fonda, Joan and Jackie Collins.
The evening saw Mary J Blige publicly humiliate her band in front of an audience that included recording industry titans and some of the biggest names in rock.
The singer lost her cool as, ironically, she was about to sing a song titled No More Drama.As the band struck up the number’s intro, she told the musicians to stop, waved her arms angrily and demanded: ‘Can we get the right music for Mary J Blige?’ She added: ‘Are we practicing still?’
The audience stared at her in disbelief as it is not considered the done thing to criticize your band – all top of the line professionals – at such an event. The room felt cool towards her during her set.
Personally, I remember how out of control MJB used to be so I don’t have a problem with a sporadic on stage meltdown. Lets just hope next time she learns to save it for after the concert.

If you missed last nights 52 Grammy Awards you surely missed an event. From Pink making it rain on them hoes, with her slippery nude inspired vocal performance, to Eminem and Lil Wayne nailing their “Forever” with Drake — minus Kanye.

Michael Jackson’s kids were on hand to received his award for something. Hell I forget. But it was good to see the kiddies actually speak.
Check out one of the worst Michael Jackson tributes thus far. The Grammy’s did worse then BET with this BS. Yea sure they had big names, but there was NO ENERGY nor chemistry between Usher, Celine, Jennifer Hudson and Carrie Underwood.

Rihanna, Jay-Z and Kanye West won for “Run This Town” and they brought Bey’s nephew Jules on stage to bask in the win. What a cute kid. And a lucky one at that.
Lil Wayne, Eminem and Drake blessed the Grammy stage with a little bit of hip-hop however, all the editing of the lyrics past 11:18pm was annoying as shit. So I can’t really comment too much on it. They looked good though. I find it comical that we are still bleeping ish out in 2010 when the internet that’s full of all the porn one can muster is at ones fingertips. #imjustsayin
I had to post this video of that damn Beyonce from last night’s “60 Minutes”. Why Bey can get a rise out of me every time she speaks is beyond me. Sure she’s talented, beautiful and a mega star. However, there’s so much fluff to her interview segments it almost immediately makes me want to vomit.
Check out Knowles giving us the same ole interview above. OH and I don’t care WHAT she says; There’s NO WAY she’s sold 118 million albums. I need the paperwork to back up those claims. I mean hell it took Whitney and Mariah damn near half their career to reach 100 million. And that’s when people were buying records.

With all the Grammy coverage, one noticeably absent star has everyone whispering. Was Kanye West really banned from this years festivities?:
The Grammy nominations themselves were a stern rebuke of West, after his lash-out at Taylor Swift at the MTV Video Music Awards, since his phenomenal album “808s and Heartbreaks” didn’t get any nods – which is unbelievable considering each of his last albums has not only been nominated for several awards, but all of them actually won the trophy for best rap album. Now, after releasing his most subtle and mature album, he gets no love. What else could be the reason except for an extended fallout from the Taylor Swift fiasco? [True Slant]
West’s no-show is also interesting when you consider the fact the superstar rapper/producer/collaborator has been nominated for three out of the five songs that are up for Best Rap Collaboration.
Personally I think Kanye laying low with his girl Amber is probably for the best. With the disruption of Chris and Rihanna’s debacle from last year, and Lil Mama bum rushing the stage at the MTV awards a few months ago, I would like to sit back and take in a show minus the common f*ckery.

Ne-Yo and Jesicca were spotted posing for the camera’s as they soak up the Grammy festivities. And I have it on great authority that White will be latched on to good ole’ Schaffer for the red carpet.

Could the world be over Mrs. @MariahCarey That’s the buzz considering her new tour Angel’s Advocates isn’t selling too well. My secret connects over at Def Jam is telling me that when Mimi rolled through the ATL recently the Fox Theater was only 75% full. And I hear that in other cities its much much worse.
And furthering adding insult to an already non-selling injury, now it’s being reported that Carey’s new follow up to the dismal “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel” is being delayed to compete with Usher’s “Raymond vs Raymond”. Great two has beens compete for top spot. Anyone else feel they’re going to cancel each other out?
Carey now goes up against Usher, who is set to release his new Jive Records album, “Raymond Vs. Raymond,” on the same date. “Angels Advocate” is her 13th studio album and will feature new remixes and duets of songs from her 2009 under-achiever, “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel.”
Personally I find it incredibly insulting how record labels continue to throw money at a problem hoping it works it self out when there are so many great entertainers on the come-up that can’t catch a break. Let this be yet another example of how LA Reid is beyond his time and needs to be fired.
