babies!!: since Daveigh starred in THE RING, and perhaps also because of LILO- several parents have heard about Daveigh, and become fans of Daveigh's, and have fallen in love with her name-- and named their newborn babies DAVEIGH!! how is that for a FUN FACT!!

1st car drove: one warm night in 2004, drove her big bro's new black Hummer from Beverly Hills, down Melrose into Hollywood....
hair: has never bleached or permanently dyed her hair, & cuts approx 12" off each year!
Disney Vacations: Daveigh recorded alot of her sessions for lilo in Florida, which meant flying to Florida, record for maybe 1 hr, and then play at DisneyWorld for several days, getting the full White-glove treatment!! Talk about a kids fantasy! Daveigh had the most amazing time!!
DisneyWorld Grand Marshall: In 2002, Daveigh was invited to be the Grand Marshall of Florida's DisneyWorld special "100 years of Magic" parade!!
lilo or stitch? seriously? LILO all the way!! but she loves Stitch too. Stitch is THE most fun!! xoxo
lilo or betsy? hhmmmm.... Daveigh will always be Lilo to so many people including herself! she started the voice of Lilo when she was 8 years old, and completed recording everything Lilo in July 2005 (except for Lilo & Stitch2). So she recorded 8yo Lilo for 7 years! But now, she's recording 5yo Betsy! Betsy is different than Lilo, but no less special :-)
betsy's kindergarten adventures: each episode is recorded with the entire voice cast present!!amazing talent &fun; in one room!
Samara: In 2000, Daveigh moved into a new, upscale 3 story pad that was (and is) named "Samara Townhomes"---> way before anyone (yes, including Daveigh) ever heard of a little girl named Samara Morgan.... a little premonition of what the future was to bring perhaps? fate is so funny that way.....
The Ring: Late one afternoon, Daveigh went into a meeting with Director Gore Verbinski & when she left the meeting~ she was Samara!
getting ugly for The Ring: most days Daveigh sat thru approx 5.5 hrs of make-up & hair (up to 6 different make-up artists/assts. at one time, worked on Daveigh when applying her make-up) --- which usually only allowed a tiny amount of actual on-camera time each day (as little as 15 minutes one day!) d/t her young age (child labor laws).
filming the Ring: daveigh's stunt dbl Svetla took the whack on the head and also fell into the well.... Daveigh did briefly experience the black plastic getting pulled tightly over her face-- when the adult actress playing Mom, got carried away & a little to into her character... this was a major no-no.
well walking: Daveigh walked backwards when filming Samara walking, and then in editing, they did what they do with their magic and had her going forward!
it's all about the feet!?! one day after having full make-up/hair applied- they filmed only her feet !!!!! (Noah scene)
Did Noah really see Samara?? Yes, that is Daveigh walking towards Martin Henderson- Noah- and yes, it's Daveigh's scary Samara face towards the end of the movie when Noah is killed! Brrrr!!
who climbed out of the tv? Daveigh had a stand-in named Audrey Marie Crouse & she was 1 year younger than Daveigh, and in real life was a competing gymnast, she got a stunt double credit in the film for climbing thru the tv... you can notice her more muscled arms in this tv scene.
Mtv Movie Awards: At the age of 12, she beat out Mike Myers, Colin Farrell, Willem Dafoe and Daniel Day-Lewis to take home the award for Best Villain for her performance as Samara in The Ring at the 2003 MTV Movie Awards.
2003 OSCARS: At the 2003 Academy Awards, both of the animated feature films that Daveigh was given the opportunity to voice the lead heroines, Disney's "Lilo and Stitch" and Disney's "Spirited Away", were nominated for the Best Animated Feature Film Oscar!! "Spirited Away" won.
fave animated film: Spirited Away! She loves anime! the animation in spirited away, & the background colors, and the storyline- incredible work!! Also Lilo & Stitch always, because it's so dear to her heart....
oliver beene? daveigh/joyce had a blast hanging out with her friends Taylor & Amanda, & all the crew. it was a funny show!!
glasses? yes! Joyce wears glasses & they are Daveigh's real prescription glasses that were used on the show!!!
