You’d be brave, or mad, to try and remake a movie great like The Great Escape. Likewise, trying to remake the most cultish of cult car movies, Rendezvous, made nearly 25 years ago when Claude Lelouche shot a high speed dash across Paris at dawn, would be petrolhead and cinematic suicide. ‘The Run’, shot by a Hollywood film crew and stunt drivers, using Nissan 350Z’s on closed Prague roads, showed how big bucks do not create a better sequel.

<p><b>Skoda Superb Greenline</b></p>   <p>Skoda's large second-generation Superb saloon has already won lots of fans with its comfort and value for money; there is probably no other standard model on the market that offers more legroom for back-seat passengers. The Greenline eco version adds great fuel economy to the mix, although it makes do with Volkswagen's older 1.9 litre PD diesel engine, rather than benefiting from the group's new 1.6 or 2.0 litre common rail power units. The Superb's appeal can only be enhanced by the arrival of the handsome estate model.</p>
