MOGADISHU, Somalia, Feb. 11 (UPI) -- Somalia officials have put the death toll at 30 Thursday in the shelling of the capital city Mogadishu, most of the victims civilians.

Fifty others were reported wounded in the two-day attack that ended Wednesday. Meanwhile, residents continued to flee their homes, Shabelle Media Network reported.

The African Union was accused of the attacks, but a troop spokesman denied targeting the Bakara market and other locations in Mogadishu.
