Today the Azerbaijani national broadcaster, iTV, revealed the date when they'll select their entry for the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest. Three are still in the running to become their participant in Oslo.
After the semi-final of the Azerbaijani selection, three contestants qualified, you can read more about that in the article about the Azerbaijani semi-final.
It was not decided, however, at that time how and when would the winner be chosen. In the meantime, the three finalists have been practising more and also, got themselves each a new song!
Now, iTV set the date to the 2nd of March. In the show, broadcast at 17.00 Central European Time from the Buta Palace, will have Milk & Kisses, Safura and Maryam Shabanova competing for a ticket to Oslo. It will be up to a jury once again to make the final call, you can find a list of them on iTV's website.
Last year, Aysel and Arash took the job for Azerbaijan, placing third in the Final of the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest with their Always.
