The most gigantic flying mouth for some time.
Radiohead take to the road on Monday (via a plane, unfortunately) to start in Florida with the first show of their 2008 tour.
Following on from
their posting on the 19th December and the
commissioned report on touring and CO2 generation, we’ve developed a new section of the site that gig goers can visit:
the most gigantic flying mouth for some time.
Here you can try out our carbon calculator and compare different transport methods for getting to and from the venue. The list of tour dates will give you public transport information where available, and where not, there may be venue incentives for car sharing. There will also be weekly postings from Radiohead’s production team on how the band has addressed their own touring carbon footprint and made it easier for fans to reduce theirs. You can discuss our successes and more importantly, our failings at
waste-central, post up more local travel information where we haven’t and make friends with other people going to your show.
Hopefully see you on the tour!

Humph
We were all sorry to hear of Humphrey Lyttleton's death - he was an inspiring person to record with, and without his direction, we'd never have recorded/released 'Life in a Glasshouse'. So go and find 'Bad Penny Blues', and celebrate his life with some hot jazz......

Remix Nude for Radiohead
To celebrate this week’s single release (we still have those in England) Radiohead have broken up the song ‘Nude’ into pieces for you to remix.
For those of you who enjoy this sort of thing, you can buy the separate components or ‘stems’ (bass, voice, guitar, strings/FX and drums) and remix your own version of the song. You can do this by adding your own beats and instrumentation or just remixing the original parts. More information is at
www.radioheadremix.com/information.
You can buy the stems at
www.radioheadremix.com/buyYou can upload your finished mixes at
www.radioheadremix.com and be judged and even voted on by ‘the public’. You can also create a widget allowing votes from your own website, Facebook or MySpace page to be sent through too.
Hope you enjoy it!
For those of you who aren’t that way inclined, Nude is also available in its entirety on CD and 7 inch (UK release) at the usual retail outlets.

Its a kind of video thing to go with Videotape using lots of wierd techniques we were messing with.
Nigel and I really enjoyed making it at the end of last year.
It appeared at the end of a webcast which i think was lost due to transmission problems.
So here it is (roughly) for you to see again.

Tim Hunkin's inventions, under the pier at Southwold. I keep trying to go there but not quite making it. Maybe you'll have better luck. Go to Ipswich and turn right.
depression is not fussy about who it hits. and feeling isolated and powerless doesnt help especially when yer young and all. this site has lots of people sharing their experiences which is what us humans need in order to cope.

Found this extraordinary shop in Brighton last week. It's well worth a visit...
“The relationship between photographers and police could worsen next month when new laws are introduced that allow for the arrest - and imprisonment - of anyone who takes pictures of officers ‘likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism’.”
maybe it's about time the likes of Apple took responsibility for the manufacture of their products, as they're supposed to be so cutting edge.
As we're lifelong contributors to 'anthrophony' we're pretty culpable....but still, fascinating studies.

The Chestnut Tree Café. ...it was all right, everything was all right, the struggle was finished. He had won the victory over himself. He loved Big Brother.

As they say, we don't live in the Information Age, or even the Oil Age. We all have to eat. We live in the Agriculture Age.
Download books on to your Blackberry instead of using it to send email, 'browse' the 'web' or any of the other tedious business-related 'apps'. It'll still look like you're really really busy.
This is great if you should be doing something boring for someone else.
Man, I couldn't even read this, it looked so scary. But maybe you can? Maybe it has a happy ending?
Fascinating, horrifying, beautiful photography.
Put that important work aside. Slack off. Play this, it's great.
Well-written, urgent and frequently very funny. Featuring the now-legendary 'Crap Arrest of the Week'.
Bored? Read a magazine. No celebrity cellulite in this one, I'm afraid.
If only. People are beginning to question the idea of filling our streets with fast-moving metal objects that smell bad and make those driving them behave worse.
Fill 'er up. While you're at it, check the dipstick thing.

Why don't you switch off your television set and do something less boring instead?
