I am extremely disappointed at the lack of action to resolve the Israeli-Palestinian problem. While there is no doubt the US Government is under tremendous pressure locally and internationally on numerous issues, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is the root cause of many problems the US faces today.
In contrast to his pre-election statements, the President has done little in this area. It is absolutely essential that the US pressure Israel to stop settlements, elimininate it's hostile occupation of Gaza (you don't have to be physically present if you control the borders and now allow supplies to enter freely). The US, basically Israel's only ally, can cut off funds and exert enormous pressure to abide by UN and US agreements. For the record, I am an enormous admirer of both President Obama and Secretary Clinton.
