Hail storms rock southern Qld

There have been more reports of hail storms in southern Queensland, after the weekend's wet and windy weather.

John Lethbridge from the Tara State Emergency Service says the town received five millimetres about 3:00pm AEST yesterday.

He says the storm then moved north-east of Tara dumping hail as it went.

"Came up from the south-west, quite a significant storm, a fair bit of green cloud and developed into quite a significant hail storm and put a lot of hail on the ground," he said.

"One home had so much hail on their roof that the water couldn't get away and the water flooded their home and flooded all their belongings."
