Procurement

Notice – Asset Disposal:

There will be a sale of VANOC assets to be held commencing the beginning of April. A public announcement detailing dates, times, and location will be made by approximately mid-March.

VANOC is currently focusing its procurement activities in areas where immediate requirements for goods and services exist. Where significant requirements are anticipated, Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Invitations to Quote (ITQs), Requests for Expression of Interest (EOIs), and other bid opportunities may be issued and made public through this website and the BC Bid website.

At this late stage, much of what is required by VANOC relates to the final preparations of the organization and Games-specific expertise.

Businesses interested in supplying goods or services to VANOC are encouraged to continue to monitor this website and BC Bid.

Interested bidders are advised that successful contractors, consultants and service providers will not have any right to advertise, promote or publicly discuss their relationship with VANOC or the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, and must agree as part of their bid not to create any unauthorized association(s) with the Olympic brand (including but not limited to any emblem, symbol, property, terminology or imagery of the Olympic and Paralympic Games or the Olympic Movement) at any time. Rights of that nature are reserved exclusively for VANOC's official sponsors and suppliers. For information how to become an official sponsor or supplier of the Games please refer to our Sponsorship section.

The Province of British Columbia continues to operate the 2010 Commerce Centre to provide information to businesses interested in remaining opportunities arising from the Games.

Doing Business with VANOC

As VANOC no longer maintains a vendor database, you are strongly encouraged to register (at no cost) with the 2010 Commerce Centre. The 2010 Commerce Centre website was launched by the Province of British Columbia to provide information to businesses interested in opportunities arising from the 2010 Winter Games.

Once you have registered, you will receive e-mail notification when an opportunity arises. VANOC will also attempt to provide notice to businesses when a bid opportunity arises within their field. VANOC, however, will not be responsible or liable in any way for any failure to provide notification of a bid opportunity. As a result, businesses are advised to regularly monitor the VANOC website and the BC Bid website for the latest VANOC bid opportunities.

We will not accept unsolicited business proposals nor can we accept requests from organizations wishing to make in person presentations of their goods and services.
