Ray Allen is Not a Fan of Your All-Star Voting Rights

NBA Fan Nation, there’s an All-Star hopeful who’s not too keen on the current system of selecting starters, and he’s coming after the popular vote. With Allen Iverson and Tracy McGrady among the leading vote-getters despite having down years, it was only a matter of time before Ray Allen spoke up. "I like the fact that the fans get the opportunity to vote and pick who they'd like to see in the All-Star Game, but I don't think it should be 100 percent," he said, calling the game "watered down." Ray didn't go so far as to say that the NBA should give the All-Defensive Team automatic spots on next year’s squads and turn All-Star Weekend into a showcase of basketball fundamentals but he did have some thoughts about changing the game.

Wade and Mourning Raising Money for Haiti

Miami Heat G Dwyane Wade and former C Alonzo Mourning have co-founded an earthquake relief fund to collect money for the victims in Haiti. They've collected over $800,000 since Friday and the total is growing. Wade donated one game check, roughly $175,000, while other NBA superstars LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Chris Paul have each donated $100,000. Mourning went to Haiti last week to do his part helping the first responders and rescue workers get the supplies they need and plans to go back Tuesday.

Texas, Kentucky Sit Atop ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll



No change at the top of this week's ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll. Texas, Kentucky, Kansas, Villanova and Syracuse remain the top 5 teams in the poll. Purdue and West Virginia the only teams to fall from the top 10. Kansas State moves in at number nine while Gonzaga moves to 10th.

Viking's Rice: No Disrespect Intended To Cowboys

The Minnesota Vikings 34-3 victory over the Dallas Cowboys Sunday began with a Brett Favre TD pass to WR Sidney Rice, his first of three on the day. Today on SportsCenter Hannah Storm asked the Pro Bowl receiver to describe Sunday's victory, the Brett Favre factor, and the thought process behind the team's final touchdown.

The Jets' playoff run is starting to resemble that of the Giants in 2007. Besides being the same seed (#5) and having to win on the road, they won their wild card game by the same score as the Giants' wild card victory 24-14. Only time will tell if the Jets can duplicate the Giants success from 2007 -- until then, enjoy the ride.
