A naked man danced on top of a billboard on a busy Texas highway sparking a four-man rescue and causing traffic delays. Police and firefighters were called to the scene in Dallas where the mohawked man was spotted.

Officials used a rescue ladder to reach the man, who flailed his arms and made motions mimicking an orchestra conductor. The man eventually descended on his own, smoking a cigarette and dancing as he made his jovial way to the ground.

"This would be a unique situation," Dallas police Lt. Daniel Gallegos said. "He's obviously not in his right state of mind."

Police said they found syringes on the ground below the billboard and that the man appeared to be high on drugs, making the incident far less amusing. Officers cuffed the man, covered him with a blanket and transported him to hospital for evaluation.

Gallegos said it was unlikely that the man would face any criminal charges.

Onlookers could be seen smirking and giggling as the man emerged and disappeared behind the billboard, plastered with an advertisement for Boost Mobile and its ability to deliver "more coverage."
