Cork's Pearse O'Neill in action against Tyrone's Colm Cavanagh
|
Tyrone moved out of the Division One relegation zone thanks to their first win of the National League campaign. Two quickfire goals from Colm Cavanagh and Tommy McGuigan had Mickey Harte's Red Hands 2-5 to 0-9 up at half-time. But Cork hit five without reply, three from Colm O'Neill, to edge ahead but Tyrone hit back with scores from Davy Harte, Sean O'Neill and Owen Mulligan. Substitute Ryan Mellon got a crucial third goal for Tyrone while Cork had Donncha O'Connor sent-off for striking.
