This Valentine's Day show someone you care by making them this adorkable R2-D2 heart pin. It's easy! Plus it's a great gift for friends and family members who love droids as much as you do. After all, astromechs need love too.
What You Need:
- white, light gray, pink, blue and red colored felt squares
- white thread
- sewing needle
- scissors
- fabric glue
- jewelry findings
Instructions:
1. Cut a small half circle for R2-D2's dome out of gray felt. Cut out and glue on tiny circles squares of felt for his details.
2.Cut out a white felt rectangle for R2-D2's body and glue on blue strips and squares, as well as gray squares for his body details.
3. Cut out white legs (he has 3). Arrange all your R2-D2 parts to form his body and glue onto a pink piece of felt. Let dry.
4. Cut out around the pink felt so it's just the outline of your R2-D2. You can also cut the pink piece into a large heart instead. Then cut a tiny red felt heart and glue it near R2-D2's dome so it looks like he's telling you how much he loves you!
5. Turn your design over and glue the jewelry finding to the back of the felt. Let dry. Then using your needle and thread, sew it on without going all the way through the felt, to keep it extra secure.
6. Now you can fasten your pin to a sweater, shirt, bag or anything else you want to make more fashionable this Valentine's Day.
