The debut of a new "Iron Man 2" trailer has everyone talking these days, so what better time to unveil a quartet of fresh promo images from director Jon Favreau's much-anticipated sequel.

Paramount Pictures and Marvel Studios have released shots of two new posters and a theater standee featuring Iron Man and War Machine, as well as a new shot from the film featuring Tony Stark facing off against someone wearing his silver Mark II armor.

Iron Man 2The new "Iron Man 2" trailer hit the 'Net last night, and fans have hardly been able to talk about anything else since its arrival. Reaction has ranged from one-word exclamations of amazement to complicated, poetic verse trumpeting the achievement of director Jon Favreau. And nowhere is there more chatter about the new trailer than on Twitter.

When I posted the trailer last night, I asked fans to send me their reactions. The response? Well, let's just say it's been a little... overwhelming. Apparently, you dig the new trailer as much as we do.

While I can't post all the responses we received, here's a roundup of some of the many insights, outbursts, and exclamations that have been arriving via Twitter since the moment the trailer hit the wire. Read more...

Iron Man 2 - briefcase armorSure, the shots of Iron Man and War Machine putting a beatdown on an army of robotic drones in the latest "Iron Man 2" trailer was pretty amazing, but I think most fans of ol' Shellhead will agree that the debut of Tony Stark's new briefcase armor was the highlight of the second official trailer.

Making its debut in a 1963 issue of "Tales of Suspense" (the series that launched Iron Man into the Marvel universe), Tony Stark's briefcase armor has long been a part of the character's arsenal of high-tech equipment.

What started out as just a way to carry the various components of the armor eventually became something greater, though — and now is more akin to what we saw in the "Iron Man 2" trailer. Read more...

"It's good to be back," says Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark makes his grand entrance in the new "Iron Man 2" trailer. And indeed it is, because the new trailer offers fans even more cool footage from director Jon Favreau's upcoming sequel to the 2008 blockbuster.

Not a lot of "news" here, but I figured it was worth a post to remind you that various "Iron Man 2" toys from Hasbro are hitting shelves this week.

We profiled much of the toymaker's line of upcoming products based on "Iron Man 2" just after Toy Fair 2010, including a surprise appearance by Tony Stark himself, Robert Downey Jr. However, some of the figures that weren't on display during Toy Fair made their debut on PopEater last week, including miniature versions of Mickey Rourke as Whiplash and Don Cheadle as War Machine.

Unfortunately, there's no information on the site about the size or product line the figures come from (I'm guessing they're not big toy collectors over there), but Hasbro tells MTV News that they're all part of the general 3.75" "Iron Man 2" toy line that hit shelves March 1. Read more...

Robert Downey Jr.The official "Iron Man 2" trailer and several previously released images and videos from the film have made no secret about Whiplash's violent ambush on Tony Stark in the middle of a Monaco race track. Exactly how that scene resolves itself, however, has remained a mystery — until now.

MSN has debuted a behind-the-scenes featurette from "Iron Man 2" featuring commentary from director Jon Favreau and several of the film's stars. Additionally, the video shows a brand new scene presumably set after the events of the Monaco ambush.

Read on for the spoiler-filled details on the clip. Read more...

Iron ManIf you've ever wished that you could be a bit more like Iron Man, you're in luck — in April, you'll have a chance to own some of Tony Stark's most prized possessions.

In celebration of the imminent release of Marvel Studios and director Jon Favreau's "Iron Man 2," Marvel Entertainment is planning to auction several props and costumes from the original "Iron Man" film at the Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo (C2E2) held from April 16 - 18, 2010. Propworx Inc. is producing the auction.

Among the 225 items being auctioned are the schematic drawings of the Mark I armor drafted by Tony while in captivity, Stark's very own pinstripe suit and Iron Man's crushed Mark II helmet. Read more...

Anya MonzikovaWith less than three months before the release of director Jon Favreau's "Iron Man 2", actress Anya Monzikova has come forward to talk about her role in the much anticipated sequel.

During an interview with Film Reviews 2 Go, Monzikova said "My character's name is Rebekah [and] it's a small part in the film… but in a really fun scene."

Monzikova is a model and actress who has appeared in "Deal or No Deal" and in "The Surrogates." She was also the model for the character Jonanna Dark in the video game "Perfect Dark Zero." Monzikova's Russian heritage — and her fluency in the language — led to an additional position on the set of "Iron Man 2." Read more...
