Vote for 1995 Nebraska Cornhuskers 1) 1995 Nebraska Cornhuskers

The most dominating team in CFB history. They destroyed 4 top ten teams, trailed only for 13 minutes the ENTIRE season an all star defense and 27 future pros, 9 future and current All-Americans. Even when stars where in trouble the team was so deep they rarely missed a step. They have ranked number 1 all time by SI, CBS, Sagarin, and multiple other places. In the championship game against the number 2 ranked Florida Gators announcers where dumbstruck at the absolute power the team had, one said in hyperbole the team was probably a 500 team in the NFL, probably not true but it wasn’t hard to imagine when you watched this nightmare bunch.

Easy. There.

T-Fraz - the greatest qb to ever play the game. clinton childs and ahman green were backups. same as scott frost and brook berringer - the greatest team ever hands down.

Vote for 2001 Miami Hurricanes 2) 2001 Miami Hurricanes

How many first rounders How many 2nd rounders, what they did to get to the final game was amazing. Washington and Syracuse have NEVER been the same programs since then.

In my opinion, (and in the opinion of many), the 2001 Miami Hurricanes were the greatest
college football team of all
time. One may argue this, of course, but I don’t believe one can seriously argue against ’01 Miami being, at least, the most talented college football team ever. At least 6 players on their roster have played in the pro bowl( Clinton Portis, Frank Gore, Andre Johnson, Jeremy Shockey, Ed Reed( N.F.L. Defensive Player of the Year), and Sean Taylor. There may be more I’m not aware of and more on the way. A couple of points to manifest their dominance: After their 65-7 dismantling of #11 Washington in the Orange Bowl, Miami was 10-0. This followed a 59-0 blow out of 13th ranked Syracuse the week before. The Canes margin of victory was greater against ranked teams than against their unranked opponents. The Miami defence allowed 13 touchdowns and Miami also scored 11 non- offensive touchdowns. These figures may be off by one either way since I don’t have these stats at hand. But it was truly an amazing display of dominance for a team to score within a couple of touchdowns of what they allowed FOR THE ENTIRE SEASON without their explosive and very talented offense ever taking the field!

Vote for 2006 Texas Longhorns 3) 2006 Texas Longhorns

VINCE YOUNG - One of the greatest college football players of all time

Two words... VINCE YOUNG, do you think any of those other teams could stop him? Plus they beat USC which espn wanted us to believe were the best ever.

Vote for 1992 Alabama Crimson Tide 4) 1992 Alabama Crimson Tide

This team was the absolute best defense in the land (possibly ever). I watched them firsthand destroy the offense of the team I played for (Miss. State), while we tried to keep Derrick Lassic in check (no easy task when you’re on the field for 3/4 of the game).

Quite possibly the best defensive team ever. Totally shut down a powerhouse Miami team to win Alabama’s 12th national championship.

Vote for 1994 Penn State Nittany Lions 5) 1994 Penn State Nittany Lions

The ’94 Nits had perhaps the greatest offense of all-time with Kerry Collins, Ki-Jana Carter, Kyle Brady, Bobby Engram, Freddie Scott and an offensive line that allowed only four sacks all season and helped Carter to a preposterous 7.9 yards per carry. 12-0.

Best team NOT to win a national title. Needs to be settled on the field.

Vote for 1991 Washington Huskies 6) 1991 Washington Huskies

The best defense I have ever seen. Also done with a redshirt freshman at QB.

In perhaps the best year top to bottem for the PAC-10 Washington had no problems beating all that they faced. As well as teams outside the PAC-10,like at Nebaska,& #3 Michigan in the Rose Bowl.

Vote for 2005 USC Trojans 7) 2005 USC Trojans

These guys were unstoppable all season. They had an enormous amount of fire power and a solid D.

Reggie Bush? easily the most talented athlete college football has ever seen. amazing cutbacks and field vision. whiped the floor with oklahoma, and woulda beat texas the next year had there not been like 10 missed calls. those refs actually get paid for that?

Definitely one of the best offenses of ALL TIME

Vote for 1997 Michigan Wolverines 8) 1997 Michigan Wolverines

michigan is the best college football team of all time

the was the greatest team in football history.. prolly the most exiting season of my life!

Michigan’s D only allowed 9 points per game that year. The difference maker between them and the Huskers would be that Michigan could pass the ball. Both teams had great rushers, buy Michigan had a better balance and that’s why Michigan would’ve won a game between the two. Oh, and Michigan didn’t need an "accidental, on purpose" kicked ball td to save the game against a weak opponent.

Vote for 1988 Notre Dame Fighting Irish 9) 1988 Notre Dame Fighting Irish

They beat 3 of the top 5 teams.

Vote for 2003 LSU Tigers 10) 2003 LSU Tigers

Peter Warrick was the best player in college football in 1999. and was responsible for 20 points in the 200 0 sugar bowl

Vote for 1959 Syracuse Orangemen 14) 1959 Syracuse Orangemen

Consider that in 1959 there was limited substitution and players had to play both offense and defense. It’s hard to imagine today’s ’specialists’ could dominate the way th way the 1959 Orange did.

People don’t remember this team because Syracuse isn’t a storied program, but my grandpa said he saw this team play and he said they were very good.

Vote for 2004 Auburn Tigers 15) 2004 Auburn Tigers

Easily the most balanced and best team of that season, no body could have come close to them in the championship game. War dam eagle!

Vote for 1974 Oklahoma Sooners 18) 1974 Oklahoma Sooners

only undefeated team that year outscored opposition 473-92 averaged 43ppg and only gave up 8.3ppg

Vote for 2005 Texas Longhorns 19) 2005 Texas Longhorns

Vince Young should’ve won the Heisman Trophy that year. They need to have the balloting after all bowls are finished. He led the highest scoring offense in he nation at 50.2 per game including the Rose Bowl. The defense was outstanding as well in tying for 8th in scoring D with 16.4 points per game and 8th in pass D allowing 172 only yards per outing. I remember when ESPN matched 2005 USC against the top 10 teams ever and they said if Texas beat USC you had to put them at least in the top three.

Vote for 1993 Florida State Seminoles 20) 1993 Florida State Seminoles
