Joe H. Mengedoht of Connersville, Ind. Would like to find any information of a coal mine cave in, in 1962 in Knox county Indiana. His Grandfather Ransom Mengedoht was one of the men that was killed in the mine.  If you have any information Joe and I would  appreciate an email at
Thank You very much

Response: 1 Peggy Robbins advised the death date for  Ransom Mengedoht was "Oct 17 1962". should be near the date of the Cave in.

Response 2: I have article from Vincennes Sun-Commercial "Miner Killed By Slate Fall at White Ash" "Ramsom Mengedoht, 58, dead when taken from shaft". I would be happy to copy and send to Joe if he will send me an address. My Grandfather was Ransom's brother. Ansalea Kaiser
