Draft in a pint glass. Nice cloudy yellowish-orange, like a good wheat beer. Overwhelmingly citrus aroma. What, this is from Anheuser-Busch? What’s more, is that a retentive head I see? Smooth lemon, orange and spice flavor. Wet mouthfeel is a bit of a downer. Little lacing, but the best I’ve seen of a macro-mini. A rather surprising and well-done effort from the folks at AB.

Cloudy, light orange color with medium white head. Aroma was sweet and fruity. Flavor was citric, typical white flavors. A little hoppy and very light.

Bottle: Pours a hazy orange with a thin white head, spicy fruits in the aroma, thin bodied, starts and ends lightly sweet, a bit stale.

Cold 12oz bottle: Pours a cloudy lemon yellow color with a quickly diminished white fizzy head. Aroma is of light grains and citrus, particularly of lemon, with notes of spice and grass. Taste is of light grains and well blended grassy hops with a burst of citrus flavor in which the lemon is sublime. Light bodied and crisp with moderate carbonation. Ending is kind of watery with light spice and citrus notes.

Bottle from Capone’s. Cloudy medium dull yellowish pour with 1-finger off-white head. Very citric aroma dna flavor, with a lot of lemongrass and orange zest, coupled with a solid sweetness from the malt. This is probably the best beer I’ve had from these guys, and one I’d much rather drink than blue moons wheat offering. Well done, guys.

This has a fine wit pour, a hazy pale straw body with a tall sustained head. The aroma is yeast with lemon scented dish soap. The hard carbonated body would be fine in a Pilsener, but is off the mark for this style, called on the label a "Belgian-style wheat ale." The flavor is wheat flakes with lemon, sour orange, and talcum powder. My dislike has little to do with it being an A-B product. I’d have to tell the braumeister at my favorite brewpub that it was off if he turned out mediocre crud like this.

Draft sample @ the Anheuser-Busch Hospitality Center in Sea World San Diego. Hazy light pale in the glass with a creamy white head. Some what subdued aroma of spices and grain. The flavor finds what, lemon and some spices. Light and watery.
