It’s no secret that we’re a wee bit obsessed with the outfits being worn on the ice at the Olympics this year (oh, the clowns, how they are seared into our brain), but Victoria Beckham doesn’t share our enthusiasm. Guest hosting on The View yesterday, Posh told her co-hosts that she’s not a fan of all the feathers and fanfare that the skaters have been employing this year (and um, every other year since skating was invented).

After watching a clip of the male skaters, she explained “I wear the feathers in my relationship,” she said, and later showing off her feathers (or fur, or whatever her coat is made of) yesterday at the airport. “If David came home dressed like that — could you imagine? Terrible. . .David would never wear a lycra catsuit.” True, David Beckham may not don a lycra catsuit for his sport, but we think maybe Victoria has missed the point of figure skating, which is that is that athleticism is second to how shiny one can make ones self. No, your weary Monday eyes do not deceive you. That is Victoria Beckham, frolicking on a beach in slobby, regular human attire and looking - gasp! - happy while doing so! The (…what is she exactly? A singer? A skinny billionaire?) British mom took her kiddies and parents to the beach in Malibu and proceeded to actually get wet, play in the sand and on the surrounding rocks, and even carried a bucket of sand. Even more amazing - she did this all while wearing flip flips and/or bare feet.

The Beckham crew followed their oddly normal outing with a trip to the market, which surely must be a first for the family. We imagine her kids much have reveled in spending time with their mother without fearing the wrath of her pin-thin stilettos spiking holes in their little feet, and Victoria probably enjoyed the sensation of walking without pain. A successful day for all!

The more audition episodes we have to endure on American Idol, the more we wish that they’d just condense them into one two-hour special and then zip right into Hollywood. Dallas was, with the exception of Neil Patrick Harris and backflipping Todrick Hall, yet another episode that dragged, but there was definitely some talent in the Lone Star State.

When American Idol premiered on Tuesday night with its Boston auditions, we were proud of our hometown. But um, Atlanta had way more talent last night, huh? Within the first fifteen minutes they let about nine people go through. Also within the first fifteen minutes we got an amazing glimpse of Ryan Seacrest’s former self as a kid in the ATL. That right there was worth the price of admission. A few more gems that made us glad we watched are ahead, as well as an actual heartfelt defense of Paula Abdul.

Mirror, mirror on the wall which celebrity has the most desirable body of them all? 2009 was all about the curves! In a recent poll, Kate Winslet was named as the most desirable, while curvy stars Halle Berry, Cheryl Cole, Beyonce and Lily Allen made the cut. Bringing up the rear were teeny tiny celebs Victoria Beckham and Kate Moss.

Dr. Jacquie Lavin, who commissioned the YouGov poll, says, “It shows a positive shift that women are more likely to see Kate Winslet and Kelly Brook as the ideal body shape rather than Kate Moss or Victoria Beckham.”

What better time than the end of a decade to muse about aging, decaying and even death? Maybe that’s why forensic artist Joe Mullins used “the latest computer technology” to predict what some of today’s biggest celebrities will look like after another decade passes. Interestingly, he  “took into account each of the A-listers’ lifestyles to predict how they might look in 2020.” (Translation: Forensic artists know what cocaine and eating disorders do to a body!) But what the artist could not know is that Madonna will replace her face with a new one by 2020 - and it will look exactly like this!

Check the gallery for a glimpse into the future, where flawless skin and gorgeous features give way to wrinkles and big bags under eyes. Only Angelina Jolie fares well. In fact, this forensic artist clearly thinks she’s still going to be a total MILF in 2020. Also included: Miley Cyrus, Brad Pitt, Robert Pattinson, Paris Hilton, David and Victoria Beckham, Madonna, Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears.

Victoria Beckham may not (yet) have a daughter to pass down her incredible wardrobe to, but it looks like it doesn’t matter - as her middle son Romeo is fast showing a style aptitude like his mom. Declaring the oft-overlooked (by the media, OK, we’re not suggesting his parents forget he exists) middle son as “so into fashion,” VB explains how he differs from elder brother Brooklyn and youngest sib Cruz.

“The other boys are all about going to the beach. He’s not interested. He’s like, ‘I want to go to work with Mummy,’ and he sits there going through the collection, feeling the fabrics, giving his opinion. He loves it,” she tells UK Harper’s Bazaar. In a story we’ve had to read a few times because it’s so unlikely-sounding (while also checking the date to absolutely make sure it’s not April Fool’s Day), apparently Victoria Beckham has bought a pet pig. Yes, the woman who doesn’t “do” casual, and who’s so impeccably groomed at all times we imagine her kids are terrified of getting a sticky hand on her skirt, has given a miniature pig as a present to hubby David. Mm-hmmm.

According to London’s Evening Standard, VB has purchased two nine-inch tall “micro pigs” which are currently taking up residence at their Hertfordshire mansion. “She has already reportedly nicknamed the miniature pot-bellied Gloucester Old Spot cross-breeds Elton and David, after good friends Elton John and his partner David Furnish,” it claims.

We swear we are not making this up. But until we see Posh out walking her new muddy friends, we’ll file this under “oh, really?” But wouldn’t it be great if it was true? [Photo: FilmMagic]

The family that shares hair-styling products together, stays together! And the other things we thought about when seeing this very cute shot of the Beckham clan out at the Lakers game were:  a) at least they have loads of money to spend on these gravity-defying hair products and b) we hope no-one goes near them with a naked flame.

We’ve heard of drug use taking its toll on youthful good looks, but turning your bouncy rack into a floppy pair of spaniels’ ears is something new. But apparently that’s what happened to Dita Von Teese. The burlesque uberstar partied hard courtesy of of some pharmaceuticals back in the day, and blames that for her subsequent boob job.

“I was a bit of a party girl in the early ’90s and used LSD and Ecstasy. Eventually my weight dropped to 6stone 7lbs and I looked terrible, so I gave up drugs. My breasts never recovered, so when I was 21 I had 32D implants,” she said.
